    Hello all,

Well I’m back again and back to writing a new story, because I obviously can’t have enough balls in the air. But if I didn’t at the very least get a start on this – it would never happen and just fester.

So I’ve posted it with the intention of keeping it going but I guess I’ll see what the early numbers look like :-/

My new Story focuses around nine characters and their life’s, how they by circumstance and inadvertently change / impact the other characters lives. Inspiration from @gscmar64 and a story of his.

The story itself jumps around a bit and I’m unsure on how it reads if I’m honest. (Would like some feedback at this early stage if possible) only three chapters so far that don't directly follow each other. (Wondering if I should date the chapters?)

For example: chapters 2 & 3 happen on the same day but apart by a few hours, chapter 4 happens two days prior to 2 & 3 and chapter 5 will happen a few months before chapter 4 before moving forwards again and in real time.

In addition to what I already have planned I’m thinking of the potential of splitting them up into episodes so the first one will really just be a linear story and setting the characters up?

I absolutely appreciate any feedback that can be provided at this very early stage and totally understand that there isn’t much to go on yet but given the premise, how it moves at the moment and the aforementioned chapter movement would be enough - it could be that this story may become more a hobby to complete. Depending on how it performs.

I like the episode concept, I think it's a good way to address generally linear storylines while giving distinct "jumping on" points for readers.

Thanks Zeebop and yeah I thought the episode approach would allow it to flow better with the jumping to different points.

I do plan for it to be multiple choice, I just need to get the character introductions sorted with their brief interactions. Moving forwards (Probably episode 2) the actions taken / options given will directly affect the other characters. But should that be Seasons 2?

<shrug> I like more variety, but that's just me. You gotta do you.

Adding a definite timeline can help the story flow a little easier. If this helps treat the story like your writing an hour long TV drama, plotting out where each event will occur and to whom. One you get the hang of that you might find the rest flows into place easier (Does for me when i'm writing!) And bear in mind that you can always continue threads that are more popular than others, shrinking the story to a tighter focus grouping if need be!

:) got it all written out on how they meet and affect one another with the multiple choices thrown in (Three alternative endings so far) that'll completely alter the original storyline - the shaping of how they all meet and cause a butterfly effect on each other is really fun to write up at the moment though and I could be geeking it out with that right now but hey ho
