Quick question: Earlier Valerie bought a Potion of Green Fire (or at least the local equivalent). Approximately how does it work and how powerful is it? I'm trying to decide whethyer it is worth using it here, against the orcs and the manticore rider.

(its greek fire, a few bottles of that stuff would set a whole tririme on fire and make it unable to be put out by water)

Yeah, but I was mostly wondering about the exact mechanics. Do I throw the potion at the rider, and when it hits him it breaks and sets him on fire? Or do I just aim the potion and remove the cork, and then the fire erupts from inside, dealing damage and setting anything in its way on fire? I have seen both versions in game books I have read in the past, so I wasn't sure which version you are using.

    Name: Ihiyocoatl (formerly: Robert Clay)
    Age: 532 (formerly: 32)
Abilities: Powerful sorcerer, focused on alchemy, illusion, and elemental magic. Inhuman physiology gives several advantages. Skilled social manipulator. (formerly: strong, has an axe)
    Job: Sorcerer (formerly: lumberjack)
Homeland: Irem, a city on another plane (formerly: Peterdia)
    Inventory:
A woodcutter's axe. A poor weapon, but better than fists.
    Simple but rugged clothes.
    A handful of low-value coins.
A human form (Robert Clay, who accidentally let him out).

Notes: This is why you don't play with unknown magic items: serpent-creatures from other planes eat your heart and wear your skin.

So, if I understand this right. He is some kind of outsider, inside human body? With powerfull magic of illusion and ability to make a new aperance. Nice.

And now we have to wait for him?

*shrugs* My last post did not get any reply, so there has been nothing for me to do since. With the decreased frequency of updates I was starting to think you gave up on it in favor of the other game you started.

Posted here so as to not clutter the main game thread unnecessarily:
Could be - depends on what counts as a storytelling arc. For example, does the mind control ring count? It certainly could be seen that way... or it could have been just an excuse to get Valerie to the lord's place (and possibly get her raped while there). Looking at the early posts there's this one:
That seems like a way to get Tergus to the lord's place. Thus both characters would have been there when the fighting started. Things obviously went differently and so the bear turned to be outside the hospital instead.

But the expectations were very much different. I expected a chance to rest, relax, and possibly have some sexy fun, before moving on to the next part of the story. You wanted to introduce a new (sub)plot right away and wanted to use my character to do it. This led to Valerie's part of the story quickly going in a direction that was far too different from anything I would have considered fun or enjoyable at that time.

In the end this is a game. It was fun at first, but that thing with the book made it very much not fun for me, and I had to choose whether to force myself to keep going, or to quit. I chose the latter, as that was the less frustrating option. I suppose I could have asked you to retcon and change that part, but that possibility didn't even occur to me until now, and even if it had I likely wouldn't have used it, as I would not want you to change your story just because I don't enjoy a particular part of it.

That is all I'm going to say about this issue. Good luck with the rest of the story. I hope you guys have fun with it. I'll just read.

yea nope your not reading the rest,I would have been ameniable to changes or questions from you personally, but you decided to not ask questions, unlike what you did with the ring to keep its meaning clear, you decided to throw a hissyfit and leave, and no its not what you take to mean the story arc its how they are written and you had different expectations because you lack a basic understanding of story arcs, (and yes I am pissed, you left the story abruptly without asking questions or even bothering to care about anything...so yea that was a total fuck you to me and the rest of the group, so don't bother typing im unwatching both threads)
