No, I'm not asking this question because I'm too lazy to write my own chapters (though I am slow, as you probably know). I'm asking this question because, especially with my new Many Monster Girls story, I'd love to see people's work added to mine. Is there any way you know that you can encourage people to add their chapters to your story?
Beyond donating to the appropriate tier on CHYOA's Patreon, the best way to get more contributors is to be prolific and keep updating stories. You never know when that one thread will attract the right writer to uhhhh write for you.
The way you get me to write for you is to pay me monies, or give me many happy endings. Those are the two currencies I trade in, filled tissues, and coinage. I don't think I'm alone, if you build it, people will come and come again! But you gotta build it. Nobody is going to carry your water, your job is to make compelling characters, explore fascinating kinks, and make us come... both literally and figuratively!
For me, its a few things. 1 Establishing interesting settings that I can reference for inspiration and cohesion. I want to feel like I'm part of the community of writers working on a story, so that we begin to world build collaboratively. 2 have sufficiently compelling early chapters that don't alienate me with a character action that's too defining. There's a lot of ideas I've read that I love, but the character abandons themselves to being a wanton slut 2 paragraphs in, and that's not a character I would enjoy writing. 3. Leave genuine dynamic choices at the end of your chapter. Obviously you can't do this with every chapter, but it should still be a turning point. Many of the questions I encounter are. "Sex girl A or sex girl B" or "sex mouth or sex butt" That's boring af. "Elope with the maid to the ire of the lady or fuck the lady at risk of the lord finding out." Is much more interesting. That's what makes me contribute, but honestly, no one contributes to my stories, so I don't have too much authority on this issue. I'm admittedly an odd one with odd interests.
ugh, that's a huge issue for me too. Most of my stories would sit dormant if I did not add to them. I guess my tastes are not shared by many authors. I get my share of likes and followers, but seems most of them read and don't write.
In my opinio reason is simply. People like reading and give likes, but writing something new is too heavy for them. They prefer watting for someone who will do all job for them.
Well, if writing isn't fun for you, you shouldn't do it. And it's totally fine if a reader doesn't start writing. So it is rather about convincing "writers" to read your story, enjoy it and give them a point where they can comfortably jump on.
I'm new here so not sure what happens most of the time but I crave for a comment, good or bad rather than 10 likes. It gives me a bigger incentive not to mention I like to discuss about paths and do brain storming with my readers. In terms of partnering with other authors, I think the best gesture would be to contribute to stories by other writers that share similar interests. Well that's my game plan
