Trying to reignite the chyoa reddit.

I was hoping to reignite activity in a dead reddit and thought this might help. I doubt im gonna get anyone on board with this but it certainly could help the community work a bit more efficiently in colabs.

 

Eh, I'd support something like an IRC, chatroom, or Discord first. A subreddit is nice, but it essentially serves the same as our forums and the site itself, and I would be afraid of further splintering the community. Reddit's site rules are a lot different than our own. Besides that, I can really see the sub just being more of what it is: self-promotion.

Sorry to be overly negative, but I fail to see what a subreddit can add that isn't already covered by the site or forums.

 

I'm going to have to agree with 8I&C above, it doesn't seem especially useful when we have our own forum right here, and I'm not a huge fan of Reddit at the best of times.

 

If anything I'd encourage Redditors to come here. Forums need more love.

 

Also, any that come to a forum from Reddit are more likely to have productive contributions.

 

This isn't a terrible idea. I discovered Chyoo back in the day thanks to Reddit. Nothing wrong with extra promotion possibly bringing in more readers and writers.

 

"Those are my secret" makes a good point, but count me out of this project...
