Pronouns will be Ka, Kae, and Kai throughout unless the reader chooses one of the paths where the children will re-diverge into male and female, which I'm seriously considering not going with at all as it raises more questions than it answers. Furthermore, the colony crews are universally engineered to have penises that are large, but not grotesquely so: in the 7-to-9-inch range barring a few random sports that are as small as 5.5 inches (but always broader than average) or up to 10 inches, (but thinner than average,) with roughly an average of 1.5 inches being standard for thickness. (Though these measurements will be expressed in cm, I'm just more used to imperial than metric.)
If the 'wheelship' concept is carrying forward (I wanted to invoke the sense of a Conestoga wagon wheel), then the idea would be multiple rings stacked atop each other, with superstructure between them leading to a magnetic style ramscoop forward and the drive action aft. In particular, I was thinking that if there was superstructure failure, then the wheelship breaking apart would allow for different sections with survivors to land on the colony planet's surface, if we wanted to spread the 222 initial colonists out as was suggested. Just to throw that out there.
If we're going to spread them out I'm seriously considering having 1000 or so out of the 10000 survive, just only 222 in the starting colony. (BTW, I got both another one where they trashed the cultural database on purpose AND a post-scarcity utopia today...)
...seriously? I'm beginning to think the Seed Ship colonists are actively trying to kill themselves. Or really hate their original culture. ...now I have to go play like twelve rounds of it. Anyway -- maybe do both branches? A spread out branch of a thousand, or a concentrated branch of 222?
Why would I lie about this? Its kinda my fault though. Pro-tip, never chose a "minerals - none" world unless you're desperate. I can't help but agree, what moron doesn't make a shelter on an ice world out of cold-tolerant shatter-resistant materials? They're a race of futa launched by a civilization that reports the news like its the mid-1950's again, I think that's a given. I'm sorry, and good luck. Yes and no, the 222 is definite, regardless of how many survive the passage that's how many make landfall with your group.
...so... our equivalent of the cultural database is going to be black and white educational shorts from the 50s and 60s? We're going to get to write "Mimi's Precious Hermetic Seal" yet. Which will be funnier when the futa stare at it, wondering why none of them have a hymen in the first place. (Because if you're going to reengineer the internals? There has to be an upgrade that can be done there.) Oh, that's perfect then. The player can make the choice between other surviving groups or no other surviving groups, and that'll open up new paths. Very very cool.
No, but they ARE in there... If by 'we' you mean "I" because I haven't seen nearly enough of them and I don't want to... And why anyone would care... Oh, yes, and easily done too. A sphincter like the ones in the throat that's under fully conscious control, and strong enough that if the 'female' doesn't consent to sex all Kai have to do is open it, let Kae enter, and then close it again, bursting Kai cock like an overfilled balloon...
I am entirely in support of irising vag traps! (And if nothing else, watch some Rifftrax or MST3K of those horrible shorts. Including on Menstrooation like Mels mentioned. Then think of us, sitting in our non-air conditioned classrooms, watching these things on 16 millimeter Bell and Howell projectors without professional comedians mocking them for us....)
That wasn't referring to an individual but in general. And... if the itch calls, it wants to be scratched... I actually can't remember any encounter being like "Mh... mh... wait! Don't touch me there! Go wash your hands first..." (though that would probably lead to "AAAH! DON'T TOUCH ME WITH YOUR COLD FINGERS!!!) Definitely. The point is that the human body (just like animal bodies) evolved to stand some crud, like having a low pH on the skin or inside the vagina. I guess that semen will raise the pH significantly, though that is only a temporary effect. Can't imagine that this works.
A magnetic style ramscoop is actually almost entirely a magnetic field that sweeps out as large as possible in front of the ship. The design is meant to draw particles and ions from a wide swath in front of the ship, diverting them into a tightly constricted area as they're funneled into the actual mechanism. This has two effects -- 1, it prevents particles from causing damage to the ship (since at the speeds we're discussing even a grain of sand can hit the hull hard and fast enough to convert sand and hull alike into plasma and wreak damage); and 2, the compression and speed together initiate a fusion reaction which can be sustained. On a constant boost style ship, this gives the ship a potential means of having fuel for the trip without having to carry all of it. On our wheelship it's likely how they initiate their FTL drive (that's why I called it a Compression Drive). Is it possible? Some smart people think so. Other smart people don't. In my case, it's a detail to add verisimilitude. We don't need to know much about these things, but knowing why things are shaped or designed the way they are helps in writing them with a sense of 'weight.'
As I said, I can't imagine that it works. Solar sails do. As you can't travel faster than light, time doesn't really matter as you have to find a way to store your living freight for a long time. But shush... I wasn't here at all...
