I'd like to post a separate thread on Cockshoots Hall - Inspirational Pictures. I've added a thread on the actual story but links are not always reliable and if I could post more in the Forums it would be better as I could directly upload the pictures. However I am not sure which forum to post to or should I just embed them in the existing Cockshoots feedback thread?
Why are links not always reliable? Is it, because the right owner wants, that the pictures get removed on the linked site? Linking pictures outsources that issue to another site.
I suppose you could start a "Cockshoots Hall -- Pictures and Extras" if you want to keep the forum thread denser rather than interspersing them among other posts. Some picture hosts refuse to serve pictures when they think (based on the web request) that the picture is being embedded in someone else's page.
Thanks, both of you, for your input. On Bing you can choose "free to share and use". The 2 that I have attached in the Inspirational Pictures thread both come into that category. Maybe some of the others might be less clear cut but copyright is a difficult subject which depends on many factors such as the amount of material used. It be better just to keep any I post in the feedback thread. It is shame as I've got about 20 captioned.
If you really want to play it safe, then you can share both the pictures, & the links to the corresponding sites. I've seen gamers do that when sharing customized avatar photos for certain games, and posts links to the sites from where the original work can be seen. Of course, all of that has to be kept within the site rules.
