I am looking to release the Prologue and First Chapter by the end of the week, when I have at least reached where I was before my (PC) accident.

I look forward to reading it, though I must say that some of the subject matter you talk about would turn me off instantly, I will see if I can enjoy the tale...

Some of my posts may well have been referring to other stories. There is some spanking and flagellation (there is a single whipping in 100 chapters). There is some slavery and coercive sex ... it is the 18th century.

N.B. You probably want to avoid my Head Leaper story although characters do come to sticky end it does get extreme (a possessed man and a disturbed woman) and I doubt if I will cover that subject matter again.

Pity it went out of fashion 100 years earlier. It's somewhat anachronistic but seemed to be the ship that best suited my purpose.

Actually I've given it another deck at the back to incorporate a galley and infirmary below a divided cabin. Ignoring the bowspirit it's about 70 feet long by 20 feet wide and most of the sailors sleep on deck. Not including the owner, there are about 30 crew.

20,000 words now which has been a monumental effort but then Decameron XXX was 56,000! Just written a scene in which a woman was bathed and I was imagining the sensations of a women being soaped which was far more erotic than my writing.

Update: Just completed Part 2 so now I'm going to do something I'm really bad up which is reviewing it all - bad at it because it is nowhere near as much fun as writing it, which I have found immensely enjoyable.

Next week on BBC2, replacing the quite boring Bloomsbury Group series, Natalie Dormer plays The Scandalous Lady W.

    LadyW.jpg

She's almost like a character from Hellfire - in fact that's the face I am now imagining for her - and she's from 18th century Yorkshire. She's someone you would really want to share a carriage with. Actually they all could be from Hellfire with the man on the right a little taller. On the left is Sir Thomas.

Difficult to get a hold of a picture of twins wearing 18th century attire but here's an indication of what Priscilla and Abigail might look like.

The official title will now be "The Trials of Priscilla and Abigail Hawksby - A Gothic Adventure"

and yes I have done a floor plan for the Squires's (or is it even the Squireses's - worse than Gollum) residence.

After one PC died I had malware on another one leading me to be considerably distracted. I have just finished Chapter 41 and the first Hellfire meeting is Chapter 42. More characters have emerged including Arabella Skipton an 18 year old auburn haired beauty who is pretty much a slave to her guardian.

Other plans get ruined by historical accuracy. I was hoping 2 of my characters would get detained in Vienna but sadly it turns out Holy Roman Emperor Josef II, who appears in Amadeus, just wouldn't do that and the information about other potential detainers in European capitals is extremely poor.

After "Call Me Dave" Cameron, UK PM, has been accused of inserting his penis into a dead pig's head and sleeping with a plethora of girls, I am being to doubt whether:

    a. my story is extreme enough
b.the Hellfire Clubs are actually a thing of the past

Their not, just don't go by such obvious names and are more secretive than they used to be.

Actually the original ones consisted over the super powerful and were largely older men whereas mine is run by people in their mid 20s so a bit older than those dining clubs. Perhaps you get promoted to a full Hellfire Club member after proving your worth at the university clubs. I went to a university where there was a society ostensibly about charity but they only seemed to allow posh people to join. However when a very famous and off the scale posh person attended the same institution he refused to join, which was a very wise move. Then of course there are allegations of a large building to which children of both sexes were delivered to the rich and powerful in I think the late 70s and early 80s but everyone connected seems to have conveniently died - it will be investigated but I'll bet they'll be a lack of evidence. Certainly none of that stuff at my club where the entertainment is provided by shameless noble women and prostitutes.

Of course in the US the fraternity system seems to encourage such outrageous behaviour both in initiation ceremonies towards women in general.

Finally Maquis de Sade did try to kidnap girls to help live out the fantasies he wrote about but he was always caught and I think was acting almost alone.

Oh, no doubt, but thanks to the internet there are groups/organizations of people abroad in the world with designs and desires far darker than the 'Hellfire Clubs' EVER got, and no one knows about them but their members until the police stumble upon them and drag them into the light of day: and more than half the time even then no one in the general public EVER hears what secrets the dark web truly harbors...
