Arkad sat down on the couch and put his head in his hands, sighing, ‘Then I will just be hunted by my former allies like you are. Where would you even want to flee to?’
Aphra sighs and sits down beside him. “I could Lie to You but I wont. We dont have a Base on some Remote World...not that I know of. But it makes me sleep at Night, knowing I help People. Dont You see how they suffer more than ever before?“
Arkad chuckled, ‘I sleep well enough knowing I am doing my duty. But... there was this one dream—about Serra—it seems to have touched me more than I had thought.’ Arkad leaned back and shrugged, ‘I have never been to Coruscant before, but from what I heard things were not exactly going well under the Republic either.’ He raised an eyebrow at her, ‘I am not sure why you would even trust me, even if I agreed to help you.’
“I dont trust You. I simply show You that there is another Way. Nobody has to die and suffer....but my Words are wasted i think“ she stands up and sighs.
'We are both still alive and well, which means your words are not wasted,' Arkad said, 'I must be getting soft or I am swayed by a pretty face too much, but... what would you want me to do to help?'
“Its not me to decide....Ask Stella. She needs Help. Shes a good Women who gives everything she has. Are You gonna spit in her Face and undo everything she fought for and Sacreficed her Wealth for?“
Arkad said, 'She will do that herself trying to flee Coruscant.' Arkad stood up and walked closer to Aphra, 'I am a dead man walking, anyway. Fine, I will help you and Ste'lla.' He smiled at her, 'I would not have ever thought I would be glad to see you again, Aphra, but I am.'
Aphra eyes him, not returning The Smile. “Are You meaning what You say about Helping Us? Or is this another Game You Play?“
Arkad chuckled, 'Is there even a thing I could say to convince you otherwise? If it is too risky to trust me, you should probably kill me or take me prisoner, so I do not tell anyone where you are.'
Aphra draws her Pistol and points it against his forhead. “I should....I really should“ She says conflicted
‘No interrogation first? I thought you might want some payback for our last meeting,’ Arkad said, ‘Do it then, avenge your friend, Aphra.’
Aphra puts the finger on The Trigger, glaring but after a few Seconds she lowers her Blaster and puts it away before leaving The Truck.
He sees The upset Smuggler heading in a Small shady Bar, sitting down by The Counter and ordering Whiskey.
Arkad followed her inside, sitting down next to her and ordering cognac, ‘Have you ever killed a person, Aphra?’
