My Life Living with Lizardmen - A story about acceptance, culture, and a sister who's a Lizardman

“The real and fantasy worlds have become one. Humanoids known as Beastmen have integrated themselves into modern society and have mixed in with humans. When you were just four years old, your parents got into a car crash and passed away. With no known closest living relatives, you were adopted by a close family to yours. Now you're 18 and at the final year of high school, but so is your sister, who is, as well as the rest of your adopted family, a lizardman.”

A more average story with incest-like tones. There are very few pieces of media that I’ve found at least that have some of the themes I’m writing in this story, which is part of the reason this even exists. I’ve also liked the idea of human/non-human interracial relationships, with some tender story elements to keep those engaged with it. The choice for a lizard as the love interest stems from, again very few previous examples, and that reptiles in media tend to fall into the category of inhuman, monsters, abominations, etc.

I have a general idea of where I want to take the story, but need to come up with more conflict while not hindering anything established in the pervious chapters. I’m also willing to take suggestions on alternate paths and branches to add more choice in it than just some boring romance that could be read off of Writers.com or Wattpad.

And, just to be clear on the fact, cause I have some who’ve gotten butt hurt over it, yes I know reptiles don’t have mammary glands, but for the suspension of disbelief, in this world Lizardpeople, and any other reptilian beastpeople, do have tits.

Any thoughts on the story so far?

 

It’s an interesting story and I loved the fresh angle it took on some familiar genres!

My only feedback is that you have two chapters just titled “Yes” which can be overly vague when the story really gets deep. Instead of just using yes/no chapter titles after a decision put some detail in the name that indicates which decision was taken. So instead of “Yes” I’d name the fourth chapter “Apologize to Aapura” or something similar.
