'Of course, me wanting to fly the prototype had nothing to do with sleeping with you,' Loreley nodded, she leaned over and kissed the Grand Admiral's cheek, 'I had fun tonight, well, until a certain point. Thanks for not forcing me... I would've let you if you had ignored my protests, but it would've made things worse between us afterwards.' As they arrived she got out of the speeder, 'Send my uniform over if you get the chance, okay?' She smiled, showing her mood had lifted a bit.
"Sure. I'll see you on test day." He flies off, leaving her on the platform. The freighter is still there, the ramp down. Loreley can smell food cooking inside.
Dano smiles. "Hey, if you do something to help, anything at all, that's more than what most people are doing, by far."
Loreley took off her high heels at the ramp and walked up into the ship, following the smell of food. She arrived at the kitchen, looking like a million credits, 'Hey, I'm back.'
Teal extricates himself from Tarrik, both in a state of undress. Her cousin opens his mouth to compliment her looks, before he sees her expression and rushes over. "Lore? Baby, what's wrong?"
'Don't you "baby" me, I hate that. Bad enough that you call me "kid", cuz,' Loreley sighed, 'Uhm, well, my date didn't go as planned. It's fine... I'll get over it. I see you two have been having fun.'
“You say that...but then Sara nearly got killed because of my latest “genius plans.” I don’t want to risk losing anyone...but, I don’t know if just letting things go are possible. Most likely the disease will intend to make an improved product to sell back to the Black Suns with Xilzor gone in an effort to reassert control of their slaves. The disease wants to spread itself and if it does, the Suns will be able to prolong the war...with your droids, it’s just cat and mouse at this point, but they will play it as long as possible. My current intention is to get friendly with our dear Admiral and simply have him kill the project in exchange for...something. I’ll figure the rest out later, but it won’t stop them trying production in secret...but odds are, they won’t let it go and try producing it in secret. The Admiral gets deniability if a non sanctioned project gets sabotaged and he embarrasses a rival without getting involved in a way that makes him look bad, he likes us better and we kill their chances of recovering their only real advantage they still have over us.”
Sensing that something's wrong, he hugs her. "Hey, it's okay Lore. It's okay, my love. What happened?" Tarrik comes up.
He nods. "I see. That's a tricky situation. Would the Empire know about the project, though? If she was coming to you to sell it, maybe she was working alone?"
Just as he jumped to the ceiling, DT-L30 stabs it. Trying to hit him, and prevent his escape. He knew it was a long shot, so he rushes to Fendrat's side.
Loreley hugged him back and sighed, 'I don't know... we had a wonderful dinner and then went to a pub on the lower levels. We were having fun and then he suddenly bent me over the bar and wanted to,,, well, fuck me for all to see. I really don't know what possessed him to do that or to think that I'd be okay with it. He was such a gentleman all evening and suddently turned into an animal.'
There's a scream as he stabs the alien, but it doesn't prevent him from escaping. Inside the security room, Fendrat and Cara stand.
His eyes narrow. "Do you want me to get rid of him?" Tarrik hugs her as well. "Oh, Lore. I'm sorry. That must have been horrible, with Xizor..."
"Maybe..." Deliberating on it, she just gave a sigh. Her brain was in overtime these past few days and was starting to wear down. "I want to say she'd have to be a later problem, but I'm not sure we'll get the chance...we can at least prepare ourselves to a degree. It is a gas, meaning it must be inhaled. Some new internal cybernetics to replace the lungs will keep people unaware it's not going to work until the last minute. We can't do that for all our people. Some equipment upgrade for better armor and some helmets that filter the environment should be useful. The vaccine should be close to ready. Combine those things together and even an improved version won't be much more than an annoyance..but that's only for what we can do here. We can't stop them from spreading or using it everywhere. Would the Admiral know?...maybe. I think he's the type who knows more about what's going on than he wants to let people think. We'll see."
Dano hugs her reassuringly. "Whatever happens, you can deal with it. You're smart, and proactive. They can't beat you."
@Regin34 "You two okay?" DT-L30 asked, looking around for anywhere the Kaleesh could drop down. "Come on, there are troopers here, let's get you two to safety."
Loreley slapped Teal's chest, 'Get rid of a Grand Admiral? Don't be ridiculous, you macho.' She sighed, hugging Tarrik too, 'It's fine... I'm not traumatised or anything.'
Teal kisses her forehead. "No one's untouchable, but if you say so. Are you hungry? We've got some Tython steaks cooking, but if you'd prefer something else, I can make it. Pancakes, maybe?"
'A small bite of steak might not hurt,' Loreley giggled, 'Did you guys get handsy while cooking or something? That's a neat way to burn down the ship, isn't it?'
The sudden hug takes her by surprise like most of his newfound boldness, but she doesn't stop him. She does keep wary that his arms don't wander anywhere they shouldn't, but her responses is to just ruffle his hair. "Just what I needed. Someone to stroke my ego. If you keep talking like that, I may end up actually believing you."
