@Auraicide @asddas193 After asking around, the pair got information that the inquisitor was last seen near the Kurrlum village, some two days of travel from the city.
@Tjf @unisol_gr44 @moonblack The night passes uninterrupted for the party. The next day raises, but the bounty hunters to awake immediately. When they finally do, they notice that it's raining... actually, more like purring, as if the sky was about to fall on their heads.
Naturally, Catherine gets a move on in that direction, internally debating how long she could really travel with this stupid thing before impaling him. But she got a move on, none the less, anxious to finally track down her target.
Celine was the first to leave the land of dreams, awoken by the sound of the downpour outside. Hoping that the rain would soon stop she tried to get back to sleep, but that proved impossible, so she spent a couple of hours lying in bed and thinking about various things, waiting for her companions to wake up. “Morning” she greeted them when they woke up at last.
@Auraicide @asddas193 As the two travelled, the sun started setting. Now, they had a choice, either continue the travel for next few hours, and seek inn late into the night in the village, or camp in the forest...
Alyndra woke from the sleep a while later, 'Morning, Celine.' Stretching her arms and going to the window, she sighed, 'Oh, great weather for a half-day hike back.'
Gih followed Catherine like a lost puppy, not caring if it was getting late or not. He'll let her decide if they get an inn, since he was broke. Besides, he was more accustomed to sleeping in the forest. And knowing he can get away with it, if she decides to leave him outside. He can just sneak into her room again.
@majus Catherine determined that she’d be stuck with him anyway and it was safer to sleep in building. Besides, she was not nearly drunk enough to sleep on the ground. A little tired of spending all her time in inns, she didn’t see a much better option. Of course, they were approaching the village and she’d need to keep up appearances. The goblin tagging along was good. It kept him close and Catherine was liberal about the use of her boot in public to push him through the door. She could argue it was part of keeping up appearances, but in truth, she just really, really wanted to kick him. The goblin was at least smart enough to realize the situation, but would be required to take the brunt of her abuse in public that she wasted little time in indulging in. “Red wine. 3714 Cherviloe.” Issuing sharp commands to him, she approached the inn counter to get a room while he would be getting her drink.
Gih grunted whenever she kicked him, but he'd already been used to abuse. Since he was used for experiments before he became a bounty hunter, so her light kicks didn't hurt that much. Of course, he hated that she was wearing leather boots. Preventing him from licking her legs, or from allowing his sweat to hit her skin. That would at least have been some form of payback. And as they entered the inn, Gih simply tilted his head. He knew it was a command, but he had no idea for what. The little goblin wasn't well versed in alchoholic drinks, he at least figured she wanted wine. But he was new in town, so he didn't really know where to get one. In response, Gih shrugged and slapped her ass, "Gihihihi." Giggling to himself as he managed to pay her back from the kicks he received.
'Morning, Rogriss,' Alyndra said, as she slowly got dressed for the day, 'What will we do? If it continues to pour down like this in the afternoon, we might be stuck here another day.'
Rogriss stretches, putting on his elegant clothes. "Ah, I suppose we'll just have to wait. If we have to stay another night, I suppose Juanita should be willing to let us stay."
Celine shrugged. “Well, there are worse ways to spend the day...” Might as well see what is going to happen to Carina. She added in her mind.
@majus Giving him another punt, ignoring the sound of impact, she ignored him and took a room for the night.
'Well, I need a bath, I feel ghastly,' Alyndra said, 'I'll ask Juanita about that.' @majus The redhead went looking for Juanita, to ask her about getting a bath at the temple or if there was a bath house in town.
“Hmm, a quick bath sounds like a good idea. I'll come with you.” Celine decided and followed the redhead.
@Auraicide @asddas193 The duo found an inn in the middle of the forest. It was a middle point between villages, allowing weary travellers to rest. There was the main building, stable and secondary building, all connected by walls, creating a small safe fort-like structure. The main building served as an inn and secondary were where the rooms were located. The owner greeted the duo, looking suspicious at the green-skin. "Evening folks. Come for supper and room?" Hearing the request he nods. "The room - we have free two rooms, as for wine, we only have simple things. I'm sorry but it's hard to resupply for such an extravagant drink in this place."
Catherine was visibly bothered at her drink of choice not being present, but gestured at the goblin anyway. "I'll take whatever is a solid drink. And no need to worry about that. Just one room will suffice...he can sleep outside." Catherine kept her conversation, dismissing how her treatment would come across. In part to get back at him for all things considered and in part because a xenophobic inquisitor wouldn't take kindly to anyone who she heard treated other races like people. But really...she saw the opportunity to make things needlessly difficult for the goblin and had chose to take it.
