Variables are stored in game mode, which means as long as you don't reset your game, everything should revert to how you left it when you next hit 'Start Game'. As a consequence, you don't actually need to bookmark a page in Game Mode - it'll automatically remember what page you're up to and take you there the next time you enable Game Mode. I have noticed that Game Mode's memory ocassionally disappears after a long period (weeks or months) of inactivity, but it won't just happen randomly when you're halfway through a story.
Thanks. I understand that. For testing, I find I have to run through my game often. It would be helpful to be able to bookmark a number of start points so, when I alter a variable, I wouldn't have to go back all the way to the beginning with a story reset... so I could have a number of versions of the game. Sorry I didn't phrase my question more clearly. Rob
I'll offer some advice, unfortunately not as easy as bookmarking, but when testing, there are a couple of tricks you can try to make things easier on yourself. For instance, try making a cheat mode or tester's mode that automatically awards you points, if yours is a point game, or make a "shortcut chapter" by making a new link chapter that gives you all the tags you should have up to a given point when you click it. Try taking a couple of snapshots of your variables at various points in the game so you'll remember what the shortcut chapter ought to award. Hope it works out for you!
