So, I'm writing a commercial break... and I want to give my fellow authors a chance to do a fun little gag. SO... If you want your story advertised, I'll do it on my commercial break. It's going to be MARKED as a commercial break, and I'm looking for the equivalent of a thirty second spot. Can't guarantee people won't just skip the chapter, but... you know... people always skip commercials... part of the joke. The nice thing about this format is of course, I can write a few placeholders if nobody wants to do it. I've got some fun ideas, but it doesn't give the same FEEL as when a completely different author jumps in for a commercial break, totally ruining the mood, and desperately trying to attract attention to a product. Short version: I'm looking to promote some of my fellow authors, and I'll even include a fourth wall breaking link... One of the commercials IS going to be reserved for the CHYOA Patreon, as a thank you for this wonderful site, but I figure that I can do about Five or Six thirty second spots and still keep the feel of 70's Daytime TV. If you're interested, this offer's open till the story's no longer being worked on. Or until the slots fill up. Course, if they fill up too fast, I may have to have to go to commercial again, right before the Big exciting Climax of the show!
Not mine, but I think it's really good and criminally underviewed -- Rainy Day, by Somburliss. Some of her other stuff is pretty well-recognised, and all of her stuff rocks a lot, so it might be worth a spot if there's one free. But it's also an older one, so if there's limited spots it might be better to give it to the ones being worked on right now.
Rgr. Maybe I could do it as a joke like "Masterpiece Theater" or something on CHYOA. You know, complete with the old guy in the wingback chair with a book. OR... You know... something a little more... shocking.
