Holy hell! I tried a free online text to speech reader online just then and my God it picked up some many errors I would have missed otherwise! Why haven't I been using something like this from the start? Just tiny little things that I would have missed without hearing it read aloud by a machine. Fingertips were written as fingertrips. It sounded wrong the second I heard it but never would have noticed it with my own eyes. I feel like I've entered the space age from the stone age!
Hm, not a bad idea! How do you input it, just copy and paste your whole chapter, or can it run on a page? Only problem is I'm addicted to making up goofy fantasy names and I'm afraid of how that would sound read out loud! Only kidding.
I just copy and pasted it into the reader from Word. It sort of spoke each sentence so you could click back and forwards like a song. I'd stop it to make corrections when I heard it and then restart it. When all done I just copied it from there onto Chyoa's add chapter page. Easy! Somethings did sound weird to hear. Strange names are definitely going to.
Sounds like a good plan. I'm lucky that I have an audience who will listen to my smut... so I read it aloud and I concur... hearing it makes it SO obvious when you've made a typo or another error. Course, maybe I should start taping it... but these days nobody needs the drive time read anymore...
My problem would be that I'd read what I thought I'd written not what I'd actually done. I have a bit of dyslexia. I think this is the way to go for me from now one.
