Ophelia finished her examination of the items for sale and made a mental list of the ones she wanted to check again later. Then she moved closer to Larisa. “So, what do you think about the village? How different is it compared to where you used to live?” She tried starting a conversation – even though it likely would not be a very long one.
"That's good to hear." He smiles back. "We should get some rest." Darius frowns. "Actually, Lukas, I wanted to speak to you. We'll relieve the men and talk while we watch out." Lukas is silent for a moment, looking apprehensively at his uncle, before nodding and standing. "Evening, beautiful." The two walk away, and soon the two guards they posted return to camp, lying down to sleep.
Volenca wriggles her nose for a moment, trying to remember, but fails to recall the name. Robert gives her a chance, before saying "It's called Tar-sove-ee-yay." He pronounces each syllable slowly, the foreign name difficult for him to pronounce.
Allune nods, "Good night." She said, as she keeps her bow and arrows close by while she goes to sleep.
'Thanks, not that I've ever heard of it,' Angelo shrugged, as he finished helping to put up his tent, 'Is this our destination or are we going further?'
@Regin34 Eva kisses Mszczuj, before leaning in to whisper "I could use some more fun. What about you?" Before waiting for an answer, she moves towards the pagan and the priest. @merkros The Pole's lover, another redhead a tad less pretty than Morwenna, but a little curvier and bustier, approaches the two women with a smile. Rhaelicca doesn't speak her language, but from the way she's stroking Morwenna's body, and grinning wolfishly at Rhaelicca, she's clearly asking for permission to join in, gesturing to the moustachioed Christian to enquire for him as well.
@moonblack @Auraicide They find that the village outside the castle is a small hamlet with little to offer, but a small walk away, they find another, far larger. The road is wide and well maintained, indicating that it's a trade route, a fact confirmed by the voices speaking in Polish, Russian, German and at least a half dozen other languages. There are many buildings in the village, stores selling weapons and armour, stalls selling food, magic shops, and general traders selling everything from spices to exotic cloth to travel supplies. There are multiple inns and taverns, catering to people of different income levels, a bathhouse and a brothel. Benacio disappears, returning after a moment with a bag and a glint in his eye. "I thought that my sweet sister deserved a gift." He hands her an elegant silver ring. Smiling at Larisa, he walks behind the Russian. "A neck so pretty deserves something to adorn it." The German noble places a necklace made of fine silver around her neck, with a stone of amber in the centre. Taking the opportunity to keep his hands on Larisa's shoulder for a moment, Benacio walks away, facing the two women. "Those trinkets should help enhance your magical abilities while you wear them."
Allune opens her eyes, the darkness of the forest almost impenetrable. Allowing her eyes to adjust for a moment, she sees the dead campfire, but the sleeping guards are gone, and Darius and Lukas are nowhere to be found, either. She realises with a start that she can't feel the spirits around her. For the first time, she's completely alone.
Volenca grunts as she nails in the last peg. "I think we'll be in this area for a few days. The inquisitors will likely go into the castle, but we'll stay camped here. Unless sister Marguerite has need of you." Looking entirely oblivious, she asks curiously "Are you two friends? You seem very close."
Realizing she was alone, Allune immediately jumps up. "What the? Where is everyone? Even the spirits?" She said in a panic. "No, no. Calm down. Calm down. I-I was sleeping. So... a dream, this has to be a dream." She reasoned with herself as she cautiosly looked around. Nocking an arrow just in case, while she listened to her surrounding.
As she looks, she sees figures walk out from between two dark trees. They draw closer and closer, until a beam of pale moonlight penetrates the trees above, illuminating their faces. Allune sees the two tatar archers she killed earlier looking back at her. They smile, and she feels a moment of panic.
Angelo smiled at Volenca, 'She came to our monastery and chose me as her personal assistant, or squire if you like. She's can be a bit abrasive if you don't know her, but I think we have become friends in the few months we have travelled together.' 'Thanks for the help, I'll help set up yours too, both of you,' Angelo said, ready to put up the other tents.
The moment she saw their faces, Allune felt cold sweat run down her face. "Y-you two... Stay back!" She yelled as she draws the arrow, yet she could feel her fingers shivering. "I'm... I'm warning you! Don't move, o-or..." Or what? Can she even kill them again? Allune thought to herself, as she took a step back.
Volenca smiles. "I'm glad. She scares me a little, though." Robert nods, his eyes more knowing. "I'm sure her friendship is...rewarding." Not realising his meaning, Volenca smiles in response to Angelo. "Thank you, Brother. That would be much appreciated." Together, the three quickly have their tents set up. "Good night, Angelo, Robert." Volenca hugs both of them, before disappearing into her tent. Robert leans in towards Angelo. "Try to keep you and Marguerite secret, okay? Everyone in the camp knows that inquisitors take lovers, but she doesn't seem to see it for you. She won't hate you, I don't think, if she finds out, but she'll be incredibly embarrassed."
The two continue to draw closer. As more moonlight ripples through the trees, she sees their faces more clearly. The smiles of the men she killed seem less fearsome than she originally thought. They seem warm...affectionate, even. A ripple of heat flows through Allune's body.
Angelo bid Volenca good night and then turned to Robert, 'I'm aware, but it's a bit of an open secret after months of travel. Maybe my demeanor is too... innocent for Volenca to pick up on it.' He sighed, 'Sister Marguerite called it training to resist the charms of a Succubus and keeping herself from going insane. What about you? Do you have someone to do that stuff with? And you're the demon expert... would that even help against a Succubus?'
Feeling a sudden heat overtake her, Allune simply panics even more. "W-what is going on! Why... why do I feel so warm?" She asked, as she puts down her bow and arrow. She then shakes her head, "No, no, this is a dream. A dream! A-all I have to do is pinch." She said as she pinches her thigh hoping it would wake her up.
Robert laughs. "Someone to do... I wish. If your Marguerite needs a replacement, well..." He grins. "Would it make a succubus less attractive? Maybe. They can use powerful spells of hypnosis, but it's possible that someone who has regular sex with a human would be less tempted by the wiles of a demon."
She feels a small pain, as she pinches her thigh, but it quickly is drowned away by the heat in her body. The sensation of the pinch quickly turns pleasurable, travelling up her leg and turning into pleasure as it reaches her womanhood. The two Asiatic warriors reach Allune, looking straight at her. The closest, a younger man than she thought during the battle, leans in to whisper into her ear. "We forgive you." He leans forwards, kissing her lips, and the heat explodes, pleasure erupting from every part of her body. As the second horse archer walks around her, hands going to her shoulders, the young woman feels her juices drip down her thighs, before she regains control over her body's movements.
Angelo led Robert out of earshot, 'A replacement? Heh, I wouldn't put it past her if she grows bored with me.' The monk rubbed his chin in thought, 'Hmmm, that's what I thought. It might help a bit but the demon's magic would still be a big problem. Did you bring texts about demons with you? Maybe there's some information how to ward against that among them.'
