"What!?" Allune was shocked to hear the squire's news. "Ghh. This is why I hate nobles." She growled, "Fine, head back to your camp then. I'll go speak to my father." She said, as she ushers the squire out of her room. She changes into her combat clothes, bringing her bow, and arrows just in case. The heads out of her room to look for her father's room...
Eventually, she finds a servant working who leads her to the chamberlain's room. There's candle light under the door, and Allune sees that he's still dressed as he answers the door. "Daughter? What's wrong?" He rubs his eyes.
Mszczuj hold his teeth tougether and bite his mustache, but force himself to stay calm. He can't use Duke Siemowit name here, because Svitrigaila have highter position than Duke. " I understand, but did your master know we are in hurry? Our task is similar with his, to stoped raiders on our villiages. "He said just proforma and get back to camp. " Alright men, listen up. We are stoped here for few hours, but stay calm. Prepare all our stuff to be ready for road, that we will leave castle when it be pussible. Cezary, come with me. " He said and go with him to armorer to get his armor back. It will be better if he don't go anywhere alone.
Allune was thankful she found someone that helped her to her father's room. And as soon as her father opened his door, she dismisses the chamberlain. Before telling him about the king's brother, and what he planned to do with Darius..
The armourer isn't there at this early hour, but a young man serving as his apprentice is preparing the tools. He looks in the ledger, and sees the order written there with his master's stamp. He takes the armoured leg plates, and holds out his hand for the money.
"Shit." Allune's father paces the room. "Shit." He looks at Allune. "The King put me in charge of the castle, and not his brother, but Svitrigaila has a great amount of power here, and the right to pardon prisoners in his brother's stead. Shit." There's a ruckus from outside, and Allune's father opens the window, seeing that Lukas is being dragged away by guards from the camp. "Shit."
Mszczuj take leg plates and with Cezar help, he put them on his legs. It was fit just enough for him to fight right. "Alright, good job. Here is your master money and I hope all of this come to his hands." He said warming apprentice and next go back to camp, to put on rest of his armor.
When he returns to camp, Eva rushes up to him. "Allune's friend Lukas, the guards took him. We weren't sure what to do."
"Oh no, Lukas!" Allune yelled as she saw the scene unfold. With her skills, she could snipe the guards from here. But, she knew that would just spark a bigger mess. "Ugh, what do we do?"
Mszczuj almost bite off his mustache, but he take deep breath. "Did guards tell why they taking him? And who give orders?" He asked as Dobron and Cezar dressing him in armor.
Her father sighs. "Go wait with your men. I-I'll go sort this out, don't worry." He walks out in a hurry. After a few minutes, a bearded man confronts Allune. "Ah, hello there. My master, Lord Svitigaila, invites you to meet with him, my lady."
“That'll have to do for now. I know it will be hard – in more ways than one – but try to hold out until the siege has been dealt with. You don't want to get caught with your pants down if we get attacked.” Ophelia made a small joke before getting serious again. “Anyway, we should probably go and check what the enemies are doing now. I doubt they will give up so easily.” The noblewoman headed towards the leading out of the room.
"They just said that it was under the orders of the king's brother. It was the leader of the men who showed up earlier."
Benacio nods. On the walls, Ophelia can see ax men going into the forest, cutting down trees. Kuril stands beside her. "They're making ladders. Persistent bastards, aren't they? They don't care about the casualties."
“Nothing we can do about it right now. Still, ladders are preferable to cannons. Much easier to deal with and less destructive.” Ophelia commented as she watched the ax men start to cut down trees. Then a worrying possibility occurred to her. “By the way, what have they been doing with the bodies of their dead? Because if they really don't care about their losses, then they might be planning something, such as using necromancy to raise them...”
Kuril nods. "That's a disturbing thought. If only we had some way of setting the corpses alight... But they know about the tunnel now."
Mszczuj finished dressed in armor and sigh. "I realy don't see any way out. King's brother have much highter position than my Duke and we are in his castle so we aren't in best position to negociate. Only thing what I can do, It is simply ask for letting him go." He said moving his arms, to be sure if all armor stay fit.
“Yeah, too bad I did not think of that possibility sooner... oh, well, nothing we can do about it now. We'll just have to stay alert and be ready to repel any attack they might try.” Ophelia agreed as she looked at the enemies in the village, trying to guess what they might attempt next.
Allune nodded, and headed back to the camp. But, before she could the bearded can got to her. "What? I don't suppose he told you why he wanted to meet with me?" She asked in a rather sarcastic tone. She'd rather head back to camp, but, she was worried about her father heading out alone.
