I feel your pain, Yarkoz. It happened to me before, not on this site, but with an essay I was writing for a class on college (luckily for me, I hadn't hit halfway point on that one). Take your time, when it is to your liking again, then you can post it.
UGH, bad memories with that, lol! I lost an entire paper once, a few days before it was due. You think I would've learned by now! Ah well. It'll be up I promise, duskford!
Having a lot of fun writing my Heather/Leah scene, sometimes the best scenes to write are the unplanned ones.
I'm currently rooting for Heather to get with Zack over Victoria, I think they make a better match, and this scene with Leah has really sealed the deal if you ask me. All that's left is for Zack to walk on the scene, and bam, you have a Zeather ship set sail.
It's a great idea for an alternate scene, DatAssDoe! As far as ships go, I'm planning to write a "Victoria ending" and a "Heather ending" to give myself some peace of mind. I'm doing Victoria's path first though, since it's simpler and more straightforward. Then I'll do Heather's, a more complicated ending that involves more people before it gets sorted out.
Still thinking Chloe ought to walk off hand in hand with both Zack and Gavin. Guess I may have to write that one.
I was with Victoria until she started being really bitchy and not listening to Zack explaining it all and everything, then I switched to Heather cause they definetely have something.
It's understandable, lol. On her ending, I'll make Vicky and Zack go back to where they were before other people started trying to come between them. On Heather's ending, I'll have Vicky give a shot to Brandon.
Tried an approach of writing a few threads before posting them all at once, threads I've finished today. We get the end of the Heather/Leah scene, Kurt's plan for Kendra and an old plot cooked up by Hannah and Taylor that may just give Zack the happiness he needs.
September 4, the story completes its first year today. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed with at least a thread or with helpful feedback, without you guys 'At The Cabin' wouldn't be where it is today. Thanks again!
Happy birthday!!! *streamers and presents and a pop-out cake with Hannah in it* Seriously though, thank you for the opportunity, Duskford. It's been fantastic to get to know you and everyone else who has worked on your wonderful story, and speaking of that, Orgy Gang, after long last, Heather finally took her turn. I can pass the torch to you, Patzo!
Happy belated birthday! I never figured I'd be writing sexy stories as a hobby, but it did get me writing and thinking about writing again. Thanks for all your feedback, guys. It's been great fun bouncing ideas off of each other.
One of the best things about Chyoo/Chyoa is ringing changes off each others' ideas. I liked the idea of the multiple contributor orgy thread but held back because I couldn't promise to hit a round-robin mark in a timely sequence. I was actually a little confused about people worried about stepping on each others' ideas by submitting "out of order" -- just write another option in the same location if you don't want to follow the earlier contribution, right? -- but if there were rules, I preferred to step back rather than argue with them since I didn't have a concrete alternative proposal. Happy anniversary, At The Cabin!
My latest thread on my main storyline featured a small detail about the story of Silver Lake Park if anyone is interested.
I've been a reader of literotica for years and kind of read the old chyoo site. sometime last fall I discovered the new site and this story. I think it was around November so a few moths after it started. I was enthralled. Duskford you created a great universe for us to explore. So good i finally came out of anonymity to try and contribute. Congrats on the anniversary.
Happy belated anniversary everyone. This has been a fun story to write over the last nine months. I only wish I had stumbled across the new site sooner. I have several threads in the works right now, for both the original story and the sequel. I have to connect the dots with them before they are ready to post. Once they are up, I'm sure they'll help make the second year of life on Silver Lake just as exciting as the first.
Thanks to everyone! Cretan_Bull14, looking forward to those threads, can you share about what they are or it's a surprise?
The sequel story lines are surprises that I don't want to spoil, but I'm still plugging away on Zack and Heather's first date, and my alternate story line for the orgy.
