I've figured out by now how the linking between threads work, and even if's a bit clumsy in it's current form (especially for editing later), I of course find it very useful. Many thanks to other posters for solving this one! My question then: Is there any way to link a thread's content to another? That is, instead of copy/paste, you could simply link one thread to use another one's content, but without actually sending the reader to that other part of the story? I'm not sure how much use such a function would see, but for one who likes to branch out a lot and still keep certain points of the story just the same it would be of great help...
On a side note, for the venerable mr.Friedman: Are there any plans for a statement system in the upcoming new version of chyoa? (if/else) I'd say it wouldn't work, because of how we like our favorite site both simple and easily added to by a number of authors per story... But it would be awesome if somehow possible. : )
There is a discussion about conditional branches here: http://forum.chyoa.com/threads/suggestion-story-variables-and-conditional-branches.53/ The desired behaviour could be realised with the system described in the link above. I'm not sure, if it will be already be implemented in the upcoming version.
Thanks for the reply, Trugbild. I'll be looking forwards to the new version then, and see where it leads to.
