EDIT: The game already started. People are free to join any time they want by making a vote. While not required it is recommended for new players to mention any fetishes they do NOT like so that I can put a warning if a post contains one or more of them. This is a little experiment I’d like to make, if there’s enough interest. It will NOT be another play-by-post. Instead I will do the writing while the players will vote what the character will do based on choices provided. Usually there will be an “Other” option, allowing the participants to suggest their own ideas how to handle a particular situation or what to do next. Any such suggestion can be vetoed by me if it makes no sense at the time. For example, if the main character starts the game as a virgin it would make no sense for her to suddenly want to seduce her own mother – unless it was decided during character creation that she’s lusting after her mother and that is the reason she has remained a virgin so far, in which case such a course of action will be allowed. If I veto an idea I will always explain why. The game takes place in a fantasy world. The main character is a human female (depending on choices during the game she might become a futa, either temporarily or permanently). Further details will be voted on during the character creation. I’d like to start with at least 3 participants. Posting speed will vary but I hope to make a post once every few days (sometimes faster, sometimes slower). Once I have made a new post people will be free to vote until I say that voting is closed. This way you don’t need to be here daily to participate and time zone differences won’t matter. My only request is: PLEASE do not try to intentionally screw up just to get the main character in trouble. Example post: Then the voting starts. One player votes to take the right corridor. A second player agrees and votes the same. A third votes to go forward. Then a fourth player comes and says "Wait, didn't we find a book earlier? There was a drawing of a woman inside, similar to that statue over there. I say we consult the book and with its help examine the room and the statue." The first and the third player decide that this is a better idea and change their votes. Another player comes and also votes for that idea. Then the voting ends and I start writing the next post. If there are enough people interested the game will begin a few days from now.
Define 'trouble'...? Does getting her knocked up count, because that is something I would totes want to do...
A few examples: - A sorceress that decides to fight a heavily-armored veteran warrior in melee combat when there's no reason to - A thief that decides to fight the guards protecting a heavily-defended location when the mission is to sneak inside unnoticed - A warrior that decides to use an wooden spear to fight a bunch of skeletons - A woman that sees a shady guy put something in her drink and still gulps down the contents of her mug There are enough ways for the main character to get robbed/beaten/raped/sold into slavery/etc. without obviously bad decisions like the above examples. As for getting her knocked up: Well, that seems like a game-ending event (good or bad) since pregnant women make for poor adventurers, especially in the latter half of pregnancy. But it's certainly possible, and it might also be possible to get other women pregnant.
Do you mean a Quest\suggestion game? I played a lot of non-erotic ones and I am definitely interested
While the commentary about getting sold into slavery and raped bother me, count me as down for player #1. Also, if you don't want people doing things that are obviously stupid, don't include them as options! I think a lot fewer people would go to the effort of suggesting things that are clearly dumb than you think, and the rest of the group also would not get behind them, though I could be wrong. Concept: Young Barbarian Warrior-Woman Suggestion set (C): Age: 25 Phenotype: Amerind Name: Aiyana the Wise Woman Abilities: Earth magic, wizardry, potion making. Concept: Female Native American Shaman Suggestion set (D): Age: 18 Phenotype: Asiatic Name: Fujiwara Madoka Abilities: Archery, nobility, honor. Concept: Adventurous Daughter of a Samurai Suggestion set (E): Age: 50 Phenotype: 'Hispanic' Name: Sarah S. Santiago Abilities: Leadership, cunning, tactical acumen. Concept: 'Mature Woman' Mercenary Commander. I could see good things happening with each of them And now for others who want to make their own sets of suggestions: here's the template I used. I haven't seen it called like that before, but my experience is limited to the CYOAs section in the ULMF forums and to a couple of CYOAs in the Legend of Crystal forums. For people that need more of an example have a look at Rift Touched (or some of the other CYOAs there - some are pretty good). Of course, since this is mostly an experiment to see if I can handle a game like this, this CYOA probably won't be as good or a s long. Because it's one thing to have ideas, and another thing to turn those ideas into something more. Also, I'm planning to include RPG elements, i.e. the character (or characters, if more join her later) will have stats and skills. @Simon_Silver Thanks but there's no need for that just yet. If there's enough interest, then the game will start with character creation and people will be able to vote on a number of things. The main character is female, young (likely in her early 20s) and inexperienced (since she's still young). Just about anything else about the character (including name and skin color) is subject to change (everyone will be able to make suggestions). As for not including the stupid options: Well, it's not always a matter of including them. When the option is "Attack the goblins (specify how - with what weapons and tactics)" there's nothing stopping people from making bad suggestions.
I'm in, at least for the beginning. Though I don't see that a pregnancy should be a forced ending unless it is a clear bad ending. If she gets pregnant, maybe she has someone who could watch the child or adopt it? She would be out of adventuring for a while, but I could see certain situations where it wouldn't have to be a game ender.
Yeah. Fast-forwarding is a thing. Of course option to continue as daughter is funny too. I think 3 players are enough. Such games are free to enter any moment and should the thread appear it will attract players

With apologies to all I have the following to say: while I would still like to participate getting a new place and internet is proving harder than expected, I can duck in briefly on the weekends but most of the time I cannot be here for the game. Good news is you seem to have found a third player so I am glad I am no longer the one holding up the works...
Recently I have been thinking about continuing Adventures in Syrada. Would anyone be interested in participating? The story is still short, so it won't take long to catch up on it. I'd like to have at least 3 voters. I have also considered starting an alternative version of the story on the main site. The main issue with that idea is that there are already multiple Quest stories so it might be difficult to get people to notice it. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
You can post it in the Proving Grounds that majus created, to see how much interest you can get before deciding to post it on its own. It's a good story, it'd be nice to see it back.
I don't know how often I could participate, and I am a bit Baulky at reading through three pages of anything, but I'm willing to consider the idea... EDIT: I also support you turning it into a full CHYOA...
