I second ^Turin^'s comments. (However, it will not be the 'Best Day Ever' for long, because on the 30th...) I also would like to state: WYSIYG editor? PLEASE tell me it allows for Underline! (And, Dare I Dream? Still has -S-t-r-i-k-e-t-h-r-o-u-g-h-...? )
I have to say, when i first started on CHYOO... what was it? 15 years ago? I never expected it to innovate and stay current the way you've been doing it! I think it's great! Looking forward to checking out the grand unveiling. Hopefully it's still on schedule. Will the transfer process be the same as it was from CHYOO to CHYOA?
Thank you for the trust and praise. We're more or less on schedule. It may be that I still need the weekend. But we'll upgrade soon. The transfer process stays the same. I'm looking forward to it!
Since I haven't been around for that first transfer, how exactly will that look? Will it be a completely new domain and everything can be copied over, or will the site just go down for a while and then come back with new design and functionality? Also, thank you so much for doing all this! Is there any way of donating to help for the server upkeep and all that? Bitcoins, maybe?
During the transfer process you'll be able to read stories but not interact with them (rate, comment, or write). The domain stays the same, and after presumably 1-2 hours the full site will be back with the new design and functionality. I previously haven't offered the possibility to make donations. But I would feel very flattered. Here is the CHYOA Bitcoin address for anyone who wants to support the site: 1FbxaDY7vwXKnYUyJCvvtRjJ2icf9dubGT Thanks in advance
I don't do bitcoin but if I did I would send you some. PS: Any word on when the new site will be live? It's the 31st and I am not seeing the new look...
Thanks anyway As I've mentioned above, I still need the weekend. So most likely within the next days.
Also awaiting it with baited breath, but kind of sad that it wont go live in my birth month, I was really looking forward to that...
Looking forward to seeing what fun we can all get up to with the new version! Thank you so much for all the hard work you've put into this for us, Friedman!
Edit: Nevermind, it's Kaspersky. I guess a recent update made it a bit too aggressive on false-positive. Usually that happens when a page has "ad" in it. It's working now.
