I think it would be just wonderful and really help improve immersion if we could do a conditional `if` statements based on the reader's gender. I'd like to create stories for female and male players to read, and I'd like to be able to tweak the gendered pronouns (among many other aspects of the story) based on if the reader's specified gender is female or male. I know that I could just make my first choice in the story be "Are you male or are you female?", but that's a suboptimal solution because the content of my story might not be all that different based on if the player is male or female. I effectively need to maintain two virtually identical threads just so that I can increase immersion by using the correct gendered pronouns and stuff. "Your {{ if male }}cock hardens{{ end }}{{if female}}vagina moistens{{ end }} as you see her." or "Your {{male="cock hardens" female="vagina moistens"}} as you see her." or even using HTML: "Your <span class="player_male">cock hardens</span><span class="player_female">vagina moistens</span> as you see her." I don't know which syntax is best so I'm quite happy to discuss what would be the most intuitive way to do it, but I really do think this could help a lot.
There was a discussion about that here: http://forum.chyoa.com/threads/suggestion-set-of-him-her-he-she-tags-based-off-one-checkbox.189/ (that thread also show a link, how it could be done with the new version of chyoa)
Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I did search, but wasn't able to find anything. I'll go voice my thoughts in that thread, and a mod or someone can close this since it is seemingly a duplicate.
