It is the year 2020. Been a long year for everybody. The creative juices don't always flow like they used to. For some of us, it's time to take a break. Recharge the batteries. Maybe try to find that erotic spark. So! How about a CHYOA recommended reading thread? This doesn't have to be restricted to CHYOA at all - but what are your favorite or recommended erotic works, online or elsewhere? What is it that just works for you, even if you can't say why? What is it that's just fun or silly? Just to start us off, a complete random half-dozen: - The Way of a Man with a Maid is a classic Edwardian work of erotica, which shows our great-grandparents were probably just as perverted as we are. The language is hokey, but y'know...that works. - A Marvel "BS" tale (Blastaar and Sue) H.E.R.B.I.E - The Robot who sees everything... - Kinda trashy, but also kinda fun as one-chapter spin-off of an ongoing BEadventure. MarkHyperion actually rewrote this as three-chapter version of the story called H.E.R.B.I.E. the Fly In The Wall! - Deviants by Rayhavoc - A different fanfiction (X-Men) but with the kind of lore-based corruption angle I dig. Really, I'm just a nerd who likes a plausible reason for characters to fall into sexual deviancy. - Addie's Babies by Sakka, which was followed up by the sequel Addie's Grandbabies. Pretty bog-standard incest, impregnation and pregnancy fetish...but y'know, for all that Sakka seems comfortable in their style, and there IS a plot there. - Artificial Cock Flavor by Chew Toy. One of those bicurious-shading-to-homoerotic/something for everyone stories. A lot of mind control stories are excessive in how quickly and completely they change people; I like a more subtle corruption sometimes, and this has an interesting gimmick. - Susan Storm--The Invisible Wendigo by gorel29. This isn't quite my jam - I'm less of a muscle-growth/turn-into-a-monster type - but I think the way the story is written is excellent. Good characterization, good description, excellent slow build. So I recommend it. So, those are six stories I enjoy...what do you recommend?
I've been enjoying primarily 4 stories this year, All of them seem to be in the fantasy genre. Aaralon's discoveries I think this is a pretty old story, but It has a lot of branches. While looking at the map might be a bit of a chore just clicking from one decision to the next is really entertaining and brings lots of smutty unexpected surprises and outcomes. Catering to all sorts of tastes. A day in the life of a school girl Similarly, an old story with lots of branches and surprises at every bend. mainly heterosexual The captive prince A story about a really effeminate prince. A lot of the branches are femdom, but there are others as well, every one unique and and distinct. The writing quality is superb and I love the underlying plot and character development and past. Trudging the Cesspond Probably shouldn't put this up here since I've contributed a lot of chapters to it myself. But that's mainly because I enjoy the story. Similarly there are a fair amount of branches, adventure, and lots of smutty outcomes. I've really enjoyed the original author's originality with the lore he tosses into the story.
Comforting the Roommate - My favorite story on chyoa. It is a believable and well-written transition from friendship to romance with good hot scenes.
