So i'm going to allow 3 skill points for "Lesser skills" these are things like crafting, foraging, etc. You will get 1 extra lesser skill point every 5 levels. I currently only have two resources that are relevant to the players' needs: Food and Materials. Food is used passively at a rate of 1 per day per character and Materials are used to construct, repair, and craft. At some point, I might switch from Crafting Materials and Building Materials, but I don't really want to overcomplicate the system. So here's the updated character sheet: Name: Gender: Sexual Orientation: Age: Level: All characters will start at level 1. Each time you win a fight, you'll get 1 experience. The amount of experience that you need to increase in level is equal to your current level. So, at level 1 you need to win 1 combats to gain a level. At level 2 you need to win 2 combats. It'll mean fast early leveling and slower later leveling. Stats: You will get 6 points to distribute how you wish between your three stats. A point into Attack and Defense will increase that stat by 1. A point into HP will increase that stat by 5. You start with 20 HP. Each time you gain a level, you'll get 2 more points to distribute. Abilities: You can choose to start with an ability. If you choose not to have a starting ability, then you get another 2 points to put into your stats. Abilities can range from a combat ability to something more utilitarian. The world is really your oyster in this matter. Every 10 levels, you can choose to gain another ability or 2 extra stat points. Skills: 3 skill points for "Lesser skills" these are things like crafting, foraging, etc. You will get 1 extra lesser skill point every 5 levels. Equipment: Equipment is largely for cosmetic and roleplay purposes.Your starting stats already factor in any kind of bonus effects that you might get from them. You may be able to find improved equipment that will give you secondary bonuses to your stats. This is pretty important because this is a world where technically High-tech stuff and tribal primitives exist in the same space. Enemies still feel the effects of these weapons in the form of HP damage, but you aren't going to be vaporizing an entire village with a single shot of your laser cannon. Background: This is the background story of your character, a description of the world that your from, and pretty much everything else from before The convergence. Personality: Who are you? Character picture (Required): Since most of the characters are going to be represented in card form, I need something to actually be able to turn into 'said card. Normally I wouldn't press so hard for a character picture, but considering how I'm going to try and visualize combat...it would be helpful. Players: Cybele: Spoiler Val: Spoiler Valleirea: Spoiler Vela: Spoiler Vier: Spoiler Seph: Spoiler
Name: Velaelle (called Vela) Race: Elf Gender: Futanari (usually looks female, but can make her cock appear and disappear at will) Sexual Orientation: She's interested mainly in women, but futas are fine too – as long as they are feminine enough. Age: It's rude to ask for a lady's age! Let's say she's over 2 centuries and leave it at that. Level: 2 Stats: HP: 20 Attack: 5 Defense: 3 Abilities: Dominant – whenever she makes demands or gives orders people are more likely to obey her (especially if they are submissive) Skills: Intimidation – skilled at intimidating people to do what she wants Seduction – skilled at seducing people Negotiation – skilled at negotiating with people. Useful for dealing with people who can't be intimidated or seduced Probably not the most useful set of skills, but... they were all quite useful in her old world, before the while mess started... Equipment: Noblewoman's Clothes Noblewoman's Lingerie Background: Velaelle was a noblewoman and leader of a major noble house, as well as one of the most powerful sorceresses alive in her old world. In that world elves were the dominant species – thanks to being the only race that did not self-destruct via endless civil wars. There were no male elves, only females and futas, but other races – or what was left of them, anyway - had males so she knows what a man is. Personality: As a noblewoman Velaelle's used to almost everyone obeying her every command and whim. She tended to be rather dominant and aggressive in her world, thanks to both her rank and her magic. Unfortunately the merging of the worlds seems to have had a negative effect on her power, forcing her to act a bit more civil and diplomatic... at least for now. Character picture (Required): Spoiler: Clothed Spoiler: Nude I'm hesitating a bit what to put as Ability and what as skills, but so far the above seems good enough.
Name: Vier Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Straight Age: 23 (Mentally) Level: 2 Stats HP: 30 Att: 1 Def: 5 Abilities Hyper Fertility: Due to his altered alien biology, any lewd encounter has a much higher than normal probability of ending with the other party being impregnated. The pregnancy is hyper accelerated, lasting several hours to a day at the longest, with the spawn instinctively running off for its homelands when it's out of the mother's body. Skills Living Off The Land (2): Vier isn't too picky an eater and seems to have a good enough digestion system to stomach food that might not be palatable for others. First Aid (1): He's also good at bandaging wounds and treating minor injures, both his own and others. He may not be able to perform complex surgery but he can make a decent splint or temporary tourniquet if needed. Equipment Moisture Bottle: What, on first glance, appears to be a normal water bottle a runner or hiker would have, is actually a fairly advanced piece of tech that absorbs and filters moisture from its surroundings to ensure the one carrying it always has a way to stay hydrated. Adaptive Clothing: The rest of Vier's outfit is also more high tech than it appears at first blush. Despite being a casual looking attire, it has internal circuitry that can heat or cool him as the weather requires and can grow a hood or gloves for him to wear if necessary. Background: Spoiler: Background Stuff Vier is what is known by his race as a "Seeder". He is a bio-engineered life form that can be used for two purposes: To help in situations where re-population is needed to bolster his race's numbers (be it a disaster/war or trying to bolster numbers on a new colony), or to be a weapon of invasion, where Seeders are sent in the form of the target planet's species to seduce and impregnate/be impregnated by members of that species (to make a specialized army of bio-tech programed half-breed super soldiers that would help in the invasion from behind enemy lines when it started). It is unclear which purpose Vier was created for, as when he first gained consciousness, the lab he had been created in had already been wrecked and he was the only survivor. He never found out if the reason was because of an enemy attack or some horrible accident that had spared only his pod. Nor did he ever discover if there were any more of his race (or even what it's original name was) out there somewhere on the converged planet. All he knew, all he had been programed with, was that he was a "Seeder" meant to blend in with "Humanoid Races" and that he was meant to "live and make live". Personality: Spoiler: Personality Stuff Vier is an unusually chipper fellow given the state of the world. More than anything he likes to explore and discover new things, seeing the wide open and chaotic world he has been born into as the ultimate adventure. He is also eternally horny and will not hesitate to let someone know when he finds them fuckable in a rather bright and cheery manner most of the time. He is not overly aggressive beyond that though, he certainly won't say no if someone offers but he normally will not force himself on someone if they say no, save for one exception. If a female opponent attacks him and he somehow wins, he will use them on the spot because of some rule he follows that goes, "For trying to take my life, you must carry one from me instead." There is also the possibility, as he further grows and matures, for him to develop abilities that might make women less likely to want to say no to him in the first place... and allow more of his kind to spawn. Character picture Spoiler: Picture If the "breeder alien" stuff is too squicky for some, I can probably do without it but I figured, we're in a porn game so may as well go full lewd with potentially lewd consequences for losing to the guy.
Name: Valleirea Gender: Female(As usual. I've been asked about it. I just can't really get into doing male characters myself. I dunno.) Race: Gluttony Demon Sexual Orientation: Leans towards men.(Again. I'm up for changing up my characters, but some things just don't change.) Age: Who can keep track of things like that? Spoiler: Background As referred to by her followers, she is the goddess of witchcraft, and mother of vampire and werewolf kind. Followers of her see her as a path to wisdom and higher learning and empowering yourself by taking care of your own needs. The mainstream religions of her world claim that none of this is the case and their pagan god is in fact, an archdemon and the root of the branch of a sin that they refer to as gluttony. Both followers and naysayers alike, still have adopted the tradition and custom of having candy and sweets ready for those who knock at the door. It probably won't be the witch queen herself knocking on your door, but my god, what if IT WAS? You don't want to stand there and offer her nothing, looking like an asshole. Spawning a holiday tradition in the fall, home owners are expected to have offerings ready for anyone who knocks at the door. It's also commonly believed that dressing up as monsters will confuse the actual monsters on the day the barrier between world's is weakest. What few outside her following know, her holiday doesn't not rely on any arbitrary positioning of the sun and moon. She's the goddess. Her holiday begins and ends, when she dam well pleases. She could approach you in disguise. At any day. Any time. Depending on the day, she might bless mortals whose hospitality impresses her or simply reward them by not doing anything more than just taking some food. However, those who would spurn a guest, are never so lucky. It likely leads to the most famous incidents of her deeds that people would know about her from. The story that one night during her visit of the city of Verevska, where she knocked on the door of every house and manor in the noble district and each and everyone refused her. As punishment, she cursed them to never be able to eat anything again, nor leave their homes during the day. Many got the message and those who sought her out and started offering tribute to appease her, were the progenitors of the Wilted Rose, who while never having their curse reversed, were granted various blessings for them to serve the vampire mother. There was of course, more than a few angry at the god's curse, having already been arrogant and prideful nobles, who spent all of their newfound immortality learning nothing. Yet, as the existence of werewolf's proves, supposedly this isn't even the first time something similar had happened. Many newly created vampire and werewolves alike, aren't usually ones who have strong feelings about the originator of their curse if they even know, and don't often bear the same grudge older ones might. Regardless of their clan or tribe origin will still try to make appeasements lest they piss off their maker yet again, though those of the old generations who are not on her side remain dedicated to trying to get revenge. While revenge on a god is near impossible, they content themselves to lash out at the clans and tribes that do support her. It is then they learn, that yes. She can and will, bring them to their knees. After the great calamity, things were...complicated. Suddenly, she was in a lot less of a position than she once was. All in all, she could live without having an empire spanning across hell, but her old enemies and rivals see the converge as the golden opportunity to finally deal with her. And it was too much annoyance that she realized that suddenly the whole balance that worlds had set up had no longer applied. An old pact that she never thought would come back to bite her with other dimensional beings a few thousand years ago, suddenly became a huge pain. The mutual agreement that all the tribunal agreed to was that they would never set foot in someone else's realm or world....now as many old world great demons and gods discovered, this leaves them as fractions of fractions of their former selves, reality trying to resolve itself and their existence in what is both, is and isn't their own realm. The fact they exist in their world is enough to keep them anchored to existing, but the fact that the barrier between worlds knows this is not where they are supposed to be, is a contradictory paradox that struggles to resolve itself, leaving most of these once dreaded figures as an utter joke of what they once were, many struggling to keep up a front and impression of power to their following that they still have things in control, and their old enemies realizing now they won't get a better chance to finally settle an old score. Level: 2 HP: 30 Attack: 1 Defense: 6 Abilities: Life Eater: After successfully inflicting damage to an enemy, for 1d4 of HP. Skills: Maleficer: Knows far more about the dark arts and rituals than most magic users are willing to go. Mask Presence: An illusion skill that can be used to hide more readily obvious demonic features and mask them from most regular people. The magically sensitive or those with especially acute senses will at the very least realize something is off if they don't see right through it. Sweet: The quality of her tongue and mouth is at a standard others can’t compete. This can manifest in her producing high quality bodily juices too(Milk, or pussy juice, basically.) Equipment: Can't say/think of anything particularly good for it yet. I'm posting the general thing I had written so far, those character looks I'm still debating as well as whether or not it's better if she's a demon lord, or just kind of a dark sorceress, in which case, if I go with the later, I'll have to change her background.
A thing of note to keep in mind. For the most part, most of the enemies that you'll face will probably die unless they're relevant NPC's (AKA: they'll probably have a name and unique art). The ability is fine, just keep in mind that not every encounter is probably going to end with Vier having an orgy with all of the defeated females. Due to the nature of the world that you're going to be dropped in, combat injuries aren't going to really be a thing unless a player gets reduced to 0 HP and the enemy decides to continue attacking the defeated person. I'm not saying that First Aid won't be useful, but much like your Fertility ability...Don't necessarily expect to spend the ending of every combat utilizing it. I don't have a problem with it, but be careful who you let ride you or you might have to start looking for someplace to set up a nursery.
That's fine. It just seemed like skills a weird alien breeding creature basically backpacking across the world would have, even if he only gets to show them off in the right circumstances.
Alright. Touched up quite a bit and it’s deciding between these two. I could also do a priestess who functions similarly. Let me know which one looks better.
Language isn't really going to be much of a problem. The strange physics of the game is going to push everyone to default and/or translate their language to The Universal Language: English. As long as they have an english counterpart. Names and whatnot might not be so easily translated. I've never really felt comfortable as a GM being all "Hey I prefer it if you play as this character." or to choose a character for someone else to play as. I know this tends to be my default response, but I still like defaulting to it. Play what you like and how you like.
Alright. I think I'll go the demon angle, if not for any reason than it was my first idea. I wonder if I should change her to a lust demon...but I don't even really like pheromone/lust aura stuff that much. I'll enable others by doing it and it's not like I will always be against it, but I've made no secret that I don't actively seek it myself. So maybe what I have now is fine. So all she would need then is to use a skill point for something if languages aren't important. Something else then. Would flight be a one point skill? Doesn't seem like it. Or a way to disguise demonic prescence?
I would say that the best way to separate abilities and skills is overall impact. Anything that influences combat would be considered an Ability just due to the relevant nature of there probably being a lot of combat. For non-combat abilities, I'll admit things get pretty hazy, but largely non-combat abilities are meant to really define what your character is good at. For some, it would involve the ability to bypass major hurdles that others without that ability might have trouble with (see: Flight, breathing underwater, etc). Other abilities could probably be better described as "Greater Skills". So let's take a look at Vela's abilities and skills. It's true that these skills and abilities seem similar. However, the ability "Dominant" will make it so that she's really good at ordering around submissive characters and probably even have an air of leadership around her for non-submissive characters. She can also intimidate, seduce, and negotiate. However, she's not as good at those as being dominant. Generally speaking, it's a largely clandestine difference that will mostly play itself out in roleplay opportunities. I don't really know if my logic is making sense here, but keep in mind that the original system didn't really have extra "Skills". That's something I added in for more customization of characters. So I'm mostly rolling with it as I go. With that said, you should probably get Skills more often than Abilities which is making me wonder if players should get skills every 5 levels and abilities every 10...I don't know how often leveling will occur, but I do know that there will be a decent amount of combat and that obviously you'll be leveling quite quickly at first. (You'll literally gain 1 level after the first combat) Flight would be more of an ability, but disguising your demonic presence. I could see hiding your fiendish features with an illusion being a Skill....Although full-on shapeshifting would likely also count as an Ability.
Okay. Then disguise is what I'll go with and so I'm not holding anyone else up. I wasn't really planning for proper shapeshifting, but that might be a future level up thing to do.
There's no hurry. I'm kind of holding off to see if any of the undecideds want to join. They can always join later, but I know that in practice that rarely happens.
I think when something properly starts that might get some brains working when they know what to expect.
Name:Cybele (or maybe I should jump in, and use a name that starts with a V?) Gender: Female Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Age: 30 Level: 2 Stats: HP 25 Attack 6 Defense 1 Abilities: Summon/Unsummon weapon: Skill to call forth her twin crimson spears from a pocket dimension Skills: Huntress 2: Able to track prey, even with the faintest of tracks Allure: Easily attracts the attention of anyone looking to fight... or fuck Equipment: Bodysuit Twin crimson spears Background: Cybele came from a world where the strong devour the weak. Might was everything, and war was considered a sport. She was considered one of her world's finest warriors, thanks to her skills with a spear. But a few years before the convergence, everything slowly calmed down. Wars happened less, and less. Turning a warriors' favorite past time into fucking. However, Cybele was one of the few that continued to polish their skills, while also enjoy a good fuck every now and then. Personality: Cybele is a fierce warrior first, and foremost. But thanks to her world's sudden change, she wasn't a stranger to a more "diplomatic" solution to any encounter. Skilled in hunting both men, and beasts alike. Her mere visage elicits fear... or lust to any who sees her. Spoiler: Character picture (Required): (Alrighty, she feels a bit rushed, but is there anything I need to change?)
Okay. I'm in. Name: Valenya "Val" Sex (Gender): Female Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Age: 66 (22 in Human years) Level: 1 Stats HP: 35 Attack: 5 Defense: 0 Abilities Elfin Senses - Dark vision and acute hearing Skills Foraging Hunting Survival Equipment Bow Quiver of arrows Spoiler: Background Valenya is a half-elf, raised by her mother's wood-elf clan. On her world wood elves try and stick to their ancestral ways: hunting, foraging and living a nomadic life. They struggle to retain what little remnants of their culture and ways that they can. She never knew her father, and was ostracized by her community for her human heritage. Her mother taught her how to track, hunt, and forage in the forest, skills that have come in very handy since the convergence. She's travels alone, more from separation from everyone she's ever know rather than by choice. Spoiler: Personality Valenya is curious, yet cautious and highly excitable. Having been looked down on or ignored all her life, she has low self-esteem and craves attention; in particular male attention. As a young adult female elf the "Blood Fever" has begun to take hold of her, muted somewhat by her human genes. As such she dresses provocatively with revealing clothing, her preference being short skirts and midriff bearing halter tops. Spoiler: Images
Your intuition is correct. Both of those would count as abilities. I don't have a problem with you having both eventually (we'll say you do an extra 1d4 points of damage with a spear to keep you in line with other damaging abilities), but you'll want to pick one or the other for now. I was also going to say something about your images, but the images apparently loaded in when I quote your post. Also sorry folks, I was going to start today but got an "emergency"* call from work and have been pretty much there all day today. I'll try to start things up tomorrow. *AKA: someone called off work and I was stuck working all day.
Alrighty, edited it. And yeah, from experience, images from Gelbooru tend to break, unless you hit reply.
Name: Belisepheras (“Seph”) Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Age: 54 Level: 1 Stats: Attack 3; Defence 2; HP 25 Abilities: Full Auto (once per combat, apply half your rolled result to another two enemies) Skills: Recon (“Sneak and Peek”); Survival; Weapons Crafting Equipment: AW-100 LMG; ceramic-plated light exoskeleton; survival gear. Background: Belisepheras is one-fourth dragon and a scout from the army of one of the princes of Atriedes. His service career is relatively unexceptional. Atriedes is a high-fantasy world that lasted long enough to develop technology to low sci-fi levels. The world’s three moons have been colonised, but there seems to be nowhere to spread beyond them, resulting in the world turning inwards and breaking itself apart into a cluster of petty principalities. Personality: …Would it be possible to work this out in-game? Character picture (Required):
I'm not against working out your personality as you go, but I am trying to maintain a consistent pace so it might be good to have a general idea of how your character is going to act so you don't take too long writing responses. You have some time. This combat is going to take a bit longer considering I have to work all day today again.
