No a big deal but I was just wondering when I story I wrote would be posted.

Don't forget to publish your story (My Stories > Edit > Publish). Only then moderators can review it.

 

I am having a bit of trouble finding that part about the edit publish part. I can't see it. I can edit it but I see no place that tells me that I can publish it. SB1

 

Click on "Publish Story" instead of "Save as Draft" and you're good to go. See screenshot.

 

All I see is save as draft. No publish. Must be doing something wrong SB1

 

Is it possible that you're editing the first chapter, and not the story? Try https://chyoa.com/story/The-Amulet-of-Desire.8039/edit.

 

Maybe it would be good to have 2 buttons for publishing a story...

"Publish now" (old behaviour)
"Publish later" (new behaviour)

that could prevent these kind of problems

Attempting to publish my story but there is no "Publish Story" button. Am I missing something?

 

Looks like you are in edit story mode, not edit post mode. Do you have an introduction page you can edit?

 

If you look at the screenshot above that Friedman shared, I was the same page but did not have the same "Publish Story" button. However, Friedman approved my story and everything is up. I can't be certain, but I believe the button wasn't there because I had published the chapters of my story before going to the edit story page, and by then the button wasn't there because I didn't need it.

I don't know if that's how it works but it seems to make sense. I also didn't know my story had to be approved to be published so I was confused when I couldn't find it and thought I was at fault for not having a "Publish Story" button.

Ah, so the story was new and needed to be approved before you could start writing new pages?

 

No, I could write new chapters at anytime. I just didn't know my story needed to be published by someone else, in order for it to be accessible by readers.
