I'm trying to write a story with a series of questions, each one leading to different outcomes. How would I be able to get all of the outcomes to link back into the next question without duplicating for each one? Example: A leads to B or C, and both B and C lead to D.
Gotta link 'em. Click edit chapter, then the ≡ symbol. Near the bottom will be "link chapter" Click that and your chapter text will be replaced by "This chapter is linked with" and a box. Enter into the box the name of the chapter you want to link it with, select it, and save it. So you'd make D lead on from C, but also make a chapter X that leads on from B, but now points to D, causing them to converge, and readers will never even see X.
Unless you're on mobile, this will just be to the right (you don't need to open any menu). It's also very important to understand that turning a chapter into a link chapter permanently deletes all content in that chapter. So the structure would be like this: A --B ----D --C ----E where E is just an empty chapter that links to D, that is, readers that don't have author or mod permissions will never actually see E. This is important to know because it means you should never try to set C to a link chapter. If you do, you will lose everything you previously wrote in C.
There is basically no difference between desktop and mobile. It is all about the width of the device or the browser. On a wide mobile device like a tablet, you might see the sidebar by default. On the other hand, the sidebar might be collapsed if your browser width is too small on a desktop device.
This is also related to the width of the device/browser. However, the browser might give you a horizontal scrollbar before some information is hidden. But I think you should still see this information on a tablet.
