"Unfortunately not." Mirellia replied to the young nobleman, before an elf joins them. "A squirrel?" She said in a hushed tone, until the two men started discussing their plans. From there, the sexy milf started to wonder. What exactly does Gunther plan on doing with this staff? She thought to herself, especially as the nobleman exclaimed the elf's affiliation. Mirellia discreetly readies her dagger, waiting for a chance to snatch the staff, and escape.
As the three of them stand off against one each other, the black sphere leaves Ard's hand, flying over to the matching staff. The two objects fit together, and begin to glow brightly, while it hums loudly enough for everyone in the room to hear, before levitating up above its plinth.
"What in the world?" Mirellia cautiously takes a step back, as the staff grew bright and started to levitate. "I take it you know what's going on then?" She asked the elf, while keeping her eyes on the staff.
Varrin took a step back and gripped his sword tighter, waiting to see what would happen. There was little else he could do right now.
Trista smile to hersellf as her oponent fall down but she can't enjoy victory too long, because of suprising magic energy what pushed her away from the staff and rest of them. She quickly get up and listen in disbelive what all people say in the same time. She take a side of Gustav. "Damit, what kind mess we get involved in? If wild hunt will show up here, we are fucked." She said with sword in her hands.
Knowing that it would take some time before they would find the bodies, Lutz knew that he was still in the clear. He had some time. So he acted casually. He retrieved his horse from the stables, and took his horse, and left the town, without a rush, to not to raise suspictions.
'I was, but I have been stranded in your world for far too long,' Ard told the young man. 'Now, that is more like it,' Ard looked at the glowing staff. 'A portal will open, but I highly doubt any of my brethren would be ready on the other side to come here,' Ard looked at the people aeound him, 'I suggest you decide whether you want to step through quickly.' He turned to Abigail, 'That goes for you as well, my dear. I am not certain I could guarantee your safety in Tir na Lia.' He stepped toward the staff, his hand reaching out to finally achieve his goal.
As Ard touches the staff, he knows at once that something is wrong. Instead of creating a neat portal, the implement's energy pulses, and without a navigator to control it, the object explodes in Ard's hand, a bolt of force knocking him, and everyone else in the room, off of their feet. Recovering, Trista, Ard, Varrin and Mirellia stand up to see a gaping maw of pure energy, pulsating dangerously in the center of the room. With an unnatural sound, they feel themselves being dragged towards it. Though they might scramble and try to find purchase, the force pulling them is too powerful, and they're all dragged into the warp. For a moment, all they feel is cold. Bitter, horrid cold. Then they open their eyes, but see nothing but darkness. Finally, there's a flash, and the cold and dark is replaced by heat and light as Ard, Abigail, Trista, Varrin, Isabella, Gustav and Mirellia all find themselves falling to collide roughly with the dusty ground. Finding the strength, they look up, and see that they're no longer in Novigrad, but in a vast desert. No one but Ard realises that the odd group are now on a different planet. What Ard doesn't know, however, is where the hell he is. This certainly isn't his homeworld. Though the sun beats down hot over the group, they find their strength returning, and can stand and move under their own power once more. (Sorry if that was crap)
Ard coughed up dust, as he turned over on his back and looked at his surroundings. Searching for Abigail, the elf asked, 'Are you alright?' He grimaced as he got to his feet and looked around for the staff, 'This should not have happened.'
Heading to the stables, he spots a small note, tucked beneath his horse's saddle. In elegant handwriting, marked with his employer's seal, he's instructed to go to a farmhouse outside the walls of Novigrad.
Trista gasp as the magic force hit them. That kind of magic was something complety unfamiliar to her, something what she never read in the books or seen on her own eyes. The journey or to be more specific, being throw by darkness and some dust, remind her portals. Trista, like most witchers, realy hate portals and try to awoid this kind of magic as best as she can. What not everytime work. She gareth her all strenght, to stand up, with support of her sword, what was luckly still in her hand. She look around in disbelive. This was... desert? "Where... where are we? Desert Koral on the south?" She asked question. Trista look at elf. "And what should happen, mage? Any explanation would be welcome."
Groaning, the redheaded witch pushes herself up onto her hands an knees. "Fuuu... I'm guessing this isn't home for you? Do you at least recognise it?" Looking for the staff, Ard comes to the depressing realisation that several small fragments of it landed on his clothes, but the rest of it didn't travel with him after it blew up.
'To bring us to my world, vatt'ghern. Tir na Lia, the place where what you call the wild hunt comes from,' Ard told the witcher. 'We are lucky this world has air to breathe and liveable temperature, and no, I cannot say I have ever been here,' Ard told Abigail, 'The staff is destroyed, I am afraid we are stuck here. With the little supplies we have I suggest we find shelter from the sun and water.'
Varrin needed a few moments to recover from the explosion and the unexpected trip – to another world, if what he was hearing was correct. Once he was able to he got up, had a quick look around to get familiar with the new surroundings, then went to check on Isabella and help her up if necessary.
Feeling as he was being played, Lutz scowled and followed his employer's instructions. He truly hated nobles and their games. After arriving at the place, he made sure to approach the place with caution, and first look at the place before going there. He was not looking for his boss traps to remove him.
Trist facepalm herself. That is where lead sticking with mages, she get what deserved. Witcheress look at the horizont, wondering where they can be. "If we want to find water, I suggest we should climb down the canions. It could be small stream if we are lucky or some tanks of rainwater, if there is any rain here." She suggest, putting back sword on back. Damit, she only have few potion and vodka, not too much for such big group.
Failing to resist the magic's pull, Mirellia groaned as she's sucked inside. Khh. Is this how it ends? She thought to herself as she figured her life had ended once she felt the cold and dark. But after the flash of light, the sexy milf opens her eyes. Only to be shocked as she failed to recognize her surroundings. "Where are we?" She gasped, "And is there a way to return to Novigrad?" She asked no one in particular as she looks around.
'Perhaps, or inside natural caves,' the elf said to the witcher. Ard helped Abigail to her feet and looked for any signs of water, structures and caves in the vicinity.
Looking around the farm house, he sees no signs of traps, though he spots his boss' pet troll through one of the windows, crouching because it's too tall to fit properly in the low roofed building.
Blinking, surprised, Lutz made his way to the building, not expecting his boss to be in place herself. He entered the building and closed the door behind.
