For now ignore any “advice” that involves taking off some of your clothes or underwear. There's a time and place for everything, including stripping – for example if you find a place where you can take a bath undisturbed, or if an area is way too hot, or when meditating in an attempt to receive guidance from your goddess, or the next time you meet Alide... but now is clearly neither the time nor the place, no matter what some voices may tell you.

Let's focus on the – hopefully - final obstacle on this floor: The skeleton. Breaking its bones with your improvised weapon is likely the best course of action, however it is also dangerous because you'll need to get close. I recommend freezing the skeleton's legs with an icicle. I noticed that the spell is quite exhausting for you, likely because you have not yet gotten familiar enough with it. But in this case it's worth it – if you can freeze and then break the skeleton's legs you will gain a massive advantage, as it will not be able to chase you around the room. Or you could freeze its legs and then attempt to attack it from behind before it can free itself and turn around to face you.

In any case the skeleton seems to lack any ranged attacks, so using a spell from a safe distance to weaken it seems like the best course of action. And when moving in to attack it, try to do so from behind, or at least its side, to give yourself an advantage.

You are dealing with a Stalfos, if you where a tunic wielding midget you could just stab it to uh...death, unfortunately for you, you are not.

The path should open once you defeated it, there is no way around actually fighting it.

Most attacks will be blocked by its shield. Do not attack it hapazardly, wait until it attacks you and then try to get to it's unprotected backside. It has a very dangerous lunging attack, beware.


A well placed Icicle should freeze it in place and allow you to get a few hits in. Do not rush this fight, patience is key.

Well, that means I won't have to fire up my old N64, to check if Stalfos are actually vulnerable to Ice Arrows.

 

As a voice: Yulia, I have forced the creator to reveal some secrets of these health and mana potions. Namely, they can be used mid fighting and recover half your health and mana(respectively for each potion).

And just to make things clear while moonblack suggest you to do pervy things like kiss Ailde, grab her naked ass or show her your lady bits, I was making a deal with you and teaching you a life lesson that you have to pay for stuff immediatly and not like you did with the spell from Ailde or the price might get worse. Speaking of which since you hadn't agreed on a price before buying (more like stealing) the spell from Ailde. You will have to pay Ailde a lot more now.

I have a question for you, from the outside, how tall did the tower look do you? I am aware that this information might be deceiving, but nonetheless we might be able to gauge how many floors there are.

Also, given how much rations you packed you are clearly planning to spend days in that tower. That means you will have to take care of your bodily functions.

I am bringing this up, because this is something you need to get comfortable with. Perhaps the tower is designed with that in mind, but I wouldn't count that you get the luxury of a privy.(that's not a trap)

 

As a voice: Yulia, can you hear me? ... Thank the gods you are finally hearing me I have been trying for hours to say something to you but wasn't able to. Your creator is using a tool created by Friedman to create your world and this system of voices talking to you. I was unable to access this system. I think since I am unraveling the mysteries of your creator she asked Friedman to block my access. I know that she only lets you listen the things she wants you to listen so that is another reason to reconsider my deal.

Anyways let's talk about your fight because learning from mistakes made in this one will help you in others. First of all, you waited for him to jump at you instead of attacking first. While you luckily jumped out of range. Next time try to attack first. And when someone has a shield try to freeze that arm as priority. You have time to rest so don't drink potions now.

I just thought it might be a funny thing to tell Yulia. I am guessing someone might have reported me as a bot since I joked that I am not a bot unless I am one who was programmed to think itself as a human. Which is kinda ironic as I am telling Yulia she is not real she just thinks she is.

The Blue Heretic is not me. I did not make that account. They are however an IRL friend who created an account specifically to take part in this. I promise that I have not however given them any more information than the rest of you and have made no attempts to guide their choice of suggestions. I also obviously did not attempt to get you blocked. Also Gambio was the one who brought up the little person in a tunic thing in the same post in which he called the skeleton a stalfos. I was just having Yulia respond to that.

But yes it would absolutely be cheating and unfair if I were too make a profile to make suggestions on my own story.

Since you can't comment or post without an account, any irl or non-chyoa friends I told about the story had to make accounts to vote, since it would be unfair to let them vote outside CHYOA since no one reading the story would be able to see their vote.

I just realized while reading your chapter(instead of Gambio's post) that it was a reference to link so I told it to Yulia and I called her Zelda to confuse her further.

I don't think "cheating" makes sense in your story. You are writing the story, you get to decide what to write. I even suggested you to act as voice of "the creator", I was happy thinking that you are somehow suggesting to Yulia so I assumed you are The-Blue-Heretic.

I am going to say... I am going to ignore that post straight up. Delete it or otherwise it's not going to be addressed. Also I have no intention of posting as the creator. My interaction with this story is entirely as the writer/narrator and technically I guess a sort of GM role in a sense, but I have no intention of being an actual character in this narrative.
