Depending on the length of each chapter and the number of branching nodes can make a chapter depth of 20 a very long or a very short story. Using total number of chapters and maybe average word count per chapter or total word count could also be used to help understand how developed the story and what the “shape” of the chapter graph is. Also you can use read time like median: https://medium.com/blogging-guide/how-is-medium-article-read-time-calculated-924420338a85
The following suggestions might be similar or related: - Toggle: Chapter Depth v. # of Chapters - Display the total chapter count next to chapter depth in searches and the front page. - Averege chapter lenght - % of non-dead-ends, % of multiple choices. - Word Counter (Story/Chapter Statistics) - Word Counter (Information For Writers) (Like the first post of a thread to vote for the suggestion.) I think there is no suggestion about reading time yet. If you want, you can add a suggestion about it to the Suggestions subforum.
I made a script that counts how many chapters are behind every chapter, but you need to go to the map screen for it to count them up. Whoa! Some of those are great suggestions to implement into my script! Everything related to counting chapters is pretty easy with what I have already have, but I don't want to delve into word count because that would stress chyoa servers and it's a pretty ugly solution.
