“Yes? Who is it?” Eanne called toward the door as her fingers sped up, trying to get Amara off, or at least bring her close to a climax.
'Yes, they must've brought the aliens in the crates somehow,' Xavier said, looking at the altered shipping records. Xavier did take a step back, but kept his eye on things, in case he had to pull the sorceress away from the terminal.
(Just to note, the victim had his throat cut, so it's not clear that whatever burnt his eyes is what killed him) Vizelle uses her powers, but apart from the fact that she's not quite sure how to make her powers interact with the ones and zeros of computing data, she's unable to find the file that caused the victim's reaction. In fact, the terminal itself seems to be remarkably clean, without many files or programs on it at all. All she can feel is the wisp of psionic energy that indicates that psionics were used here at one point.
"It's Sitra. I was wondering if you'd like to head down to dinner with me?" The younger sister's voice sounds out, as the older sister bites her lip to mute her moans.
@unisol_gr44 "Hmm. I can't seem to find it." Vizelle sighed, "Well, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the terminal. Shall we head to the location where the shipment was rerouted?" She asked as she moves away from the terminal.
'Hmm, we also have to find that woman, whoever she is,' Xavier nodded, 'Though, I am reluctant to split up if powerful psionics are involved. I'm not really well versed in dealing with that.' 'If you think it best to start with that location, I will follow your lead,' Xavier said, 'Perhaps I can access the fleet records from the shuttle and get a lead on her as well.'
“I'd love to! Give me just a minute...” Eanne replied, deciding to be nice and not cause an awkward scene between the sisters by inviting Sitra to come in. Pulling her fingers out she pushed Amara off her and to the side, leaving her lying on her back. Getting up and off the bed she licked her fingers clean while giving Amara an apologetic look and mouthing a silent 'I'll make it up to you later', then made her way to a mirror to make herself presentable. Eanne put her dress back in order as quickly as she could, covering her breasts and straightening her skirt, made sure her hair wasn't a mess, and put on some random nice-smelling perfume she found in the room – it wasn't the first time she had been forced to make herself presentable in a hurry so she had some experience that was coming in handy right now. Eanne took one last look at Amara to make sure that Sitra would not be able to spot her sister through the open door, then made her way to the room's entrance. “Sorry to keep you waiting. Shall we go?” She smiled at Sitra as she walked out the door. (Poor Amara... hope she won't be too mad... )
Yannika gave the sergeant of her guard a reassuring grin. She walked up to him, laid her hand gently on his chest, her fingers tips moved in tiny circles caressing him. She looked up at him with intimate affection and said, "Thank you for your concern sergeant, it is most appreciated. But I'll be all right. These are lost sheep, and it is my responsibility to bring them back to the herd." She then leaned up and kissed him. "Don't worry sergeant, this is part of what I do." She took a breath and let both of them return to a state of professionalism before she continued, "Please see-to-it we are not interrupted. I wish to act quickly once I am finished here."
@Tjf "Indeed. I fear if we delay in searching the reroute location, it would only give the perpetrators more time to clean up. And the way I see it, this woman should be in hiding already, unless they have other things planned." Vizelle replied, "It would be best for you to search for her in the shuttle, and get your most trusted to start looking for her."
Amara looks irritated, but gets out of sight of the doorway, allowing Eanne to get up and dress. Outside, Sitra is oblivious to the fact that her sister is only a few feet away. She gives Eanne a smile as she sees her, before beginning to walk to the dining room. "Yes, I was thinking we could have a drink before the food is served."
The sergeant blushes as Yannika kisses him. "I-uh... Okay... We'll be right outside, so just call out if you need us." Reluctantly, he leaves the room, and soon eight red coated soldiers replace him, looking at the priestess with looks ranging from apathy, to disdain, to reluctant enmity. "You asked for us, ma'am?" The highest ranking among them, a lieutenant, says, keeping his tone professional, but unable to disguise a tinge of hostility.
Getting into the vehicle, Xavier gets a message that the Logistics Corps personnel logs will be sent to him soon. The shuttle speeds across the city, above the rooftops, heading into an industrial area, smoke stacks of the factories billowing black clouds of smog into the air. The shuttle touches down in an abandoned lot across from the address they found. As the four marine guards secure the perimeter around the shuttle, Xavier and Vizelle see the building listed as the unscheduled stopping point. It's an abandoned warehouse, run down and littered with graffiti, the windows on all three of its floors smashed in.
Once they arrived, Vizelle gets to work. Scanning the area for psionic energies, she also takes note of anyone within the area.
Spoiler: Psionic Roll D100: 78 (Pass) Looking around, Vizelle sees that the immediate area around the warehouse is deserted for now. Reaching out with her powers, the sorceress senses psionic energy of some sort within the warehouse, though not too strong.
"Yes gentlemen thank you." Yannika greeted them sweetly, ignoring their icy demeanor. "I couldn't help but notice that you, among your fellows, seem to be unswayed by my arguments. And so I wished to discuss privately with you the matter. I want you to feel free to express yourselves and your opinions to me. I assure you, you will receive no punishment for doing so. Quite possibly the opposite in fact." The last she said with a glimmer in her eye. "Tell me about your priestess, and your loyalty to her? What did she do for you when she still served the gods?"
The men look amongst themselves, before the lieutenant steps forward. "It's...It's hard to explain..." He sighs. "She's not like anyone else. In her mortal life, she'd risk herself without a thought to tend to us soldiers when we were wounded or in need of help, even in the middle of a battle. We get pirate raids here from time to time, criminals and xenos trying to get the ore we mine, or take the miners as slaves, and the fighting can get intense. Our lady didn't care. She'd walk through minefields, past waves of incoming fire...if one of us needed help, she was there for us." There's a murmur of agreement from the other heretic soldiers. "Since the Mother's death, and her rebirth, however, there hasn't been a single raid." The lieutenant says. "What could that be, besides divine intervention? She helps us as a divine, in the same way she helped us as a mortal."
@unisol_gr44 "Hmm?" Vizelle cooed, "Well, Admiral. I leave the surrounding area to you. It seems there's more psionic energy inside. I'll call for you when it's clear." She said with a smile as she puts up her barriers, and heads inside the warehouse to investigate.
Yannika listened to the lieutenant until he was finished, and nodded along. "She was a remarkable woman, most that I have met are. You are right to exalt her as a hero." She paused for a moment before asking. "How long ago did the raids start? Did they intensify recently?"
{That is a good score} "Thank you, admiral." Elena said, then shook her head. "No, just sent a message delaying the reassignment due to an emergency situation. As I said, Empire, will not deny you any 3rd fleet your due rewards." She smiled brightly. "I will speak to the Emperor, about rewarding further your sacrifices and recognising your deeds." Elena bowed her head with respect. "Then, admiral, see you soon." With that, she finished the connection. She then sent out callings to crusade, through her subbordinates. After that, she checked available transports and ground armies, that she could recruit to her cause.
