I always have a ton of ideas but sometimes they just don't make it into my story though I like to keep them on the back burner for later use in other scenes. I thought I would start this thread just to share ideas for scenes to share and brainstorm ideas or concepts to use in stories just to get the blood flowing to the old brain. Lets start with something simple. Down blouse ideas. I treasure some of the most innocent erotic occurences during everyday life. One favorite was on a visit to a store with a particularly low counter such that the attractive attendant who was sporting a low cut neckline on a loose top had to bend over more than normal to do almost anything: Do you want it gift wrapped? Yes please. Would you like a gift receipt? Of course. Can I sign you up for our loyalty card? Yes- ffs, just lean over and start writing the bloody thing!
They look like mental snapshots, I get that. When I get struck by an idea for a character or a situation I usually put it down on paper, just a few lines, but I hardly ever use any of that. Not consciously at least. Not sure I could pull off a list like that.
If I am roughing out a scene and like something that is not quite fitting, I copy/paste it to a temporary document in case it will work somewhere else. It would make sense to keep an organized set of lists: one for concepts, one for imagery, one for character traits, one for dialog. Then after using one of the ideas, mark it off.
