I’m a new writer on Chyoa, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for them. I’ve stayed away from them for now, since I’m not sure what exactly people look for in them. I’m hoping to write some lesbian scenes in the future so it would really help me out if you could give me ideas on how to make them compelling.

Mostly, it's good if you familiarize yourself with the anatomy a bit, maybe engage in a bit of research (i.e. watch some lesbian sex scenes and see what the ladies do), and focus on the general things that make any sex scene good: description, characterization, atmosphere, and pacing.
Thanks for the link Zeebop. I’ll definitely do some good research for it, but I’m looking more for a woman’s or preferably a lesbian perspective. I’m wondering what particular action or way of describing acts gets them interested, which can’t be so easily figured out. As a female and pan-sexual, I generally like my lesbian scenes to be more sensual and intimate with a focus on feelings and sensation over actions. Its a bit more about kissing and touching and building physical and mental joy at the same time. Since in many cases both partners aren't receiving physical pleasure at the same time, its a very psychological experience. Typically, the active partner is often more interested in how their actions impact the receiving partner than in a hetero situation. Also, use of more florid terms for female sexual organs can be appealing. Words like 'petals' or 'flower' versus 'pussy' and 'slit'. Of course, if its a love scene in the midst of a overall hetero story, then the language shouldn't change.

I am not sure if you are making fun of me or not, but yes, those words/phrases would ruin the intimacy of the scene for me. That could just be me.

So I could definitely use more sensual language, but is any specific things you look for. Such as licking the body, caressing, fingering ect. It's fine. I have difficulty determining when someone is joking, mocking, or being serious. I commented that I wasn't sure so that if you were joking or mocking me you wouldn't be confused by the fact that I answered you seriously. In answer to your questions here ... every woman is different. Usually women want to read about the things they themselves like or would like to do. I imagine its much the same for men. Your really good at writing, I’d definitely read your writings. I also really appreciate the advice. So far my writings have been kind of simple. Mainly just describing penetration and dirty talking. I think I’ll try to use more of this sensual and descriptive way of writing, especially when I finally do lesbian content.
