How does everyone feel about a CHYOA Battle Royale? Basically various characters from other stories would be invited into a Battle Royale and fight each other.
That sounds really fun! Like a story here with different branches based on the existing characters? What sort of battle would they be participating in?
I don't really know. Its like the CHYOA equivalent to a massive multiplayer crossover. Maybe its a battle Royale, maybe its a tournament. Maybe there's some multiverse crisis event.
How would we do it? We'd need a set of rules and a list of competitors. You couldnt really just write a chapter about your own character Vs someone else's - too biased. how about this: Each author puts forward their champions or potential characters, a mutually respected DM type is chosen to allocate the chapters. (My vote for Unknown7) The DM then allocates each participating author 2 characters from other authors and a suitable timeframe (a week maybe?). After suitable research into the original work, each author produces their story and a winner. They should attempt to write the chapter as true to the original characters as possible. We then move onto round 2 with half the characters left. The DM then allocates characters for the next round in a knockout format till we have a winner. We'd have to be careful in that although the battles would presumably have an erotic content, that whoever met a bad-end didn't do it in such a way as to break rule #3. I think if we got a few willing authors we could probably make a game of this. Can I suggest if anyone is interested that we put our characters into @YveltalWarrior 's forum thread "your favorite character dossier"? @YveltalWarrior - would that be ok if we used your thread to post 2 or 3 characters each with a view to a battle?
