"No reaction?" Vizelle hummed, despite watching her would be assassin moan and stumble. "Hmm." The sorceress tilts her head, continuously sending more, and more psionic lust. Knowing she'll need some time to interrogate an assassin of her calibre, she aimed to capture her first.
“That's alright, perhaps Julqe will know about her... still, I'd appreciate it if you discreetly keep an ear for anything regarding Miriam...” It was the answer Eanne had expected. “Let's get back to Julqe. Would it be alright if I were to come to your place right now so that I could ask her my questions? You are welcome to join me, if you wish.” She offered with a smile. While it might have been safer to request that Julqe be brought to her instead, she wasn't about to hide in her ship, plus she wanted to demonstrate some trust in the madame. Hopefully the Emperor's spy could be trusted – it would be quite a problem if that were not the case.
Elena cocked her head. "It's a rather strange question." She commented, wondering where the man was going with this. "I am on the side of Emperor, and Empire." She answered shortly. Well, she was on the side of her order, but that was left unsaid... and obvious. "Since the Emperor is missing, the next person in charge..." she paused, and corrected herself, seeing where this might go "temporary in charge, in the Empress Dowager. Until the Emperor is found, that is.
Spoiler: Psionic Roll D100: 17+15 (Order of Sorcerers)=32 Spoiler: Assassin's attack Roll D100: 15 Vizelle's attempts to use another lust attack are stymied as the assassin presses forward, sword aiming to remove the sorceress' head. Luckily for Vizelle, the woman hasn't fully recovered from the last spell, and her blade falls short as she moans once more, juices running down her leg.
"Any member of the council is more than welcome in my parlor." Dubernay smiles enthusiastically. "I'd normally prefer if it were for pleasure, but the invitation stands for you to conduct business here. In the meantime, I'll reply to Julqe and set up a meeting."
"I'm also on the emperor's side. And yes, that is generally the line of succession." He admits. "Unless the Empress Dowager is launching a coup against the emperor." The man states simply. "Which, according to the head of the army, she is. Now, one of them is a traitor, and I don't know which one. You can see where I'm a little hesitant to make a move, right? If the person I side with turns out to be a traitor, I get executed, with some of my men as well, probably."
(Those rolls...) "Tsk." Vizelle clicks her tongue as she failed, prepared to jump away from the assassin's attack. Only for the assassin to stumble as well, Damn it, engaging her in a melee would be dangerous. But I can't just wait for my spell to work. She grimaced, deciding to tackle the assassin to the ground. And the moment she touches her, Vizelle starts flooding the killer with psionic lust.
“Oh, believe me, I would very much prefer to be visiting your place for pleasure, not business. But alas, right now pleasure has to wait.” Eanne returned the smile. “I will be there as soon as I can. Please keep Julqe there until I arrive, and please do not let her know I am coming – I don't want to ruin the... surprise.” If there was nothing else the madam wanted from her Eanne would end the call, get Bec to pick the guards to accompany them, and head to Dubernay's parlor while trying to be discreet about it.
Spoiler: Grapple Roll D100: 24 As Vizelle moves forward in an attempt to collide with the assassin, she soon realises why she generally doesn't engage in wrestling matches. Effortlessly, the woman grabs Vizelle's arm, and with a swift turn of her hips, sends the dark haired witch into the air, before she slams back onto the hard stone floor, air knocked out of her, and her world filling with pain. Spoiler: Psionic Lust Attack D100: 94 Nonetheless, the brief moment of physical contact is all Vizelle needs. The assassin's eyes roll upwards, and she lets out a scream, before she falls back, using the wall behind her to keep from falling, as she is wracked by a powerful orgasm, squirting across the floor, and wetting Vizelle's body.
Elena bit her lip. There was a conspiracy recently. One officer escaped... it was probably he that was behind it. She shook her head. "I do understand... but you or he might be feed disinformation by the traitor. I know that an officer, who was a part of a conspiracy to kill several prominent figures, escaped. I suspect he is behind it." She paused. "Going against any of them might be playing into the hands of our enemies." She narrowed her eyes. "For now... secure the capital and put down the rebels. That would be enough not to invoke ire of any sides..." She paused. "I shall check your claims." She added after a moment.
Helpfully, the madame gives Eanne some directions as to how she can get to the establishment without being obvious about it, and though Bec fears an ambush, none materialises. Moving through a nondescript gate at the rear of the brothel, Eanne, Bec and find themselves in an elaborate and frankly spectacular water garden, where they're met by the mysterious Dubernay, who's changed into a different, but equally revealing, dress. "What a pleasure to meet in person. She's inside, in one of our audition rooms." She directs Eanne to follow, polite and friendly in her demeanor, though with a touch of mysterious sultriness.
"Gahk!" Vizelle groaned as she's slammed onto the ground, but with her plan working somewhat. The sorceress gets up, "I'd ask who sent you, or who you work for. But you seem far too serious to answer those." She said as she slowly got up, licking her lips to taste the assassin's juices. "So I'll be dealing with you later." Vizelle said, raising her hand, concentrating her powers to send a psionic lighting bolt. One that deals no damage, but completely messes with a human's nervous system, paralyzing them for a few hours, or until someone fixes them up.
Spoiler: Persuasion Roll D100: 62+15 (Persuasion Skill)=77 (Pass) "Fine..." The man finally grunts. "I'll send my battalions out."
Elena nodded, then connected with Madam Dubernay. "Madam Dubernay, how are you doing?" She asked the spy mistress.
“The pleasure is all mine.” Eanne smiled at the madam and managed to stop herself from staring at the woman's body – now was not the time. “If I may ask, how secure is the room? Can anyone eavesdrop, be it through technology or magic?” She inquired as she followed behind the madam.
Licking her lips, Vizelle finds the woman's juices pleasant to taste. Reaching out, she feels a rush as the energy is generated and flows through her body, heading out through her hands. Spoiler: Lightning Strike Roll 53+15 (Order of Sorcerers)=68 Spoiler: Assassin's Defence Roll D100: 17 The woman, still not recovered from her orgasm, spasms as the lightning hits her, before she slumps over, unconscious.
It takes a long while for the connection to go through, but eventually the brothel owner appears on the other end, via hologram. "Not altogether well." She brushes her hair, which is uncharacteristically ruffled. "I received word that the emperor would be attacked, but before I could do anything about it, I was attacked in turn."
"Haah. Finally." Vizelle let out a relieved sigh, "Tsk. Maybe I should start bringing bodyguards of my own." She said to herself, "Or at least someone to do the grunt work." She groaned, looking for another empty cell, where she drags the assassin into. She makes sure to lock the cell, before checking out the blood trail she saw earlier.
"We have cameras in the audition rooms." She says. "Auditions are monitored, for the sake of interviewer and interviewee alike. Still, my staff are the only ones with access to the footage. If you'd prefer privacy, though, we could move her to a room used by the clients. Those are completely secure."
There are a few empty cells, and dragging the woman isn't too much of a hassle, luckily. Opening the door to the supply closet, she sees the guards that were guarding the slave pens, all butchered with sword wounds.
