New Post: Purity Lost Also, yes the new trauma level does still count for the floor, Yulia is currently leaving, so it's effect will be gone by next post.
Interestingly enough Trauma Rank 2 seems to be weaker then Rank 1. Now Cherchiel, I will have you give the Halo back to Yulia. I am sure someone else will chip in with the emotional mumbo jumbo. Yulia, get it together. This is a new floor and we need you ready to handle it. This is what you signed up for. Cherchiel, you have my permission to slap Yulia if she starts wallowing in self pity.
Thank God, and definitely not that one, that your still with us. I was dreading this moment of losing you to the nuns. Perhaps that God being so rough was so you wouldn't become one. If that's not the case... That God should really learn how to please a partner, cause that was awful... Even if the tentacles were smooth. Alright, so this floor we gained a friend and a powerful boon. We have a similar taboo about being "pure" here so I understand how this feels emotionaly. However know that it doesn't mean anything, you're still you and you don't need to defend yourself from it. Looking at it the way us voices do, it was probably a blessing to be taken in this fashion as you are heavily debuffed and if this had happened on another floor, we might have been talking to your ghost. Take a deep breath, take a day off if you need to, then prepare yourself for the next floor. Cherchiel, shower Yulia with love since the god didn't. You can do this Yulia. You are the champion who is going to save the world!
Yulia, that prayer sucked. Not that it made a difference. You didn't get any guidance either. ̶M̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶l̶e̶t̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶n̶u̶n̶. Anyway, you did the sacrifice, it sucked, but you ultimately succeeded in advancing. Not only that, but you now are an experienced adventurer with some idea of what to expect on a floor, so use that knowledge. Make scouting out Alide and the rest area your priority, gather information on the threats and deals you can make and don't be afraid to blast enemies in the face with an icicle if they are hostile. Consider making a battle plan with Cherchiel. Your greatest strength is arguably your Great Heal and Great Cure which you are not making use of. Consider giving Cherchiel the dagger and having her trade blows with potential enemies, as in recklessly charging in and going for the stab with no regard for defense. It will be unexpected and you can heal her back up later (make sure to communicate the limits of your healing ability, we don't want to have Cherchiel die on us or become permanently injured because your Great Heal is not so great at healing after all). Also see if you can get equipment for Cherchiel. She probably has a preference for weapons and armor. She might need armor in order to turn lethal blows into ones that you can heal. You're not a front-line fighter, you're a supporter, so act accordingly. Cherchiel on the other hand is a strong wrestler, able to pin down enemies or distract them enough so they fail dodging your icicle. Or maybe just start the spell a little, aiming at the enemy to make them pay attention to you to give Cherchiel an opening. You got lucky in the early tutorial fights, but don't expect to win fights by flailing your dagger anymore. Now you need some strategy. Consider taking alternating watch. Maybe you get super lucky and angels don't sleep, but otherwise you can have one asleep for 8 hours, swap for another 8 hours, then have 8 hours of exploring together. That effectively halves your exploration time, but you won't get surprised by enemies in your sleep. Keep that in mind next time you meet a pervert offering to scare away monsters to molest you in your sleep. Maybe you can yet prove to the tower that you are worthy.
It's... incredibly hard to be my usual positive self in the face of this traumatic event and the frankly uncaring attitude from every. other. voice. I'll try my best. Yulia, don't pay the others much heed. Your humanity is what we're here for, and as much as they don't want to admit it, your humility and the fact you're so in touch with your emotions is why we care. At least it's why I care. What you went through is hard, and you should feel exactly how you want to feel. I of course want to see you live on and thrive, so do your best, but don't just repress. it's not going to be good for you later. Cherchiel is as always, being adorable, and doing everything I'd hope she'd do for you. I heard someone else say give back the halo, that's not a bad idea, so seconded there. Hope my words helped in some way.
These ongoing Dark Souls quotes do not inspire confidence Ah, the classic first mindfuck floor. That means we will probably see some funky stuff in the later floors. The absence of Dreg has been noted and is rather worrisome. My worst suspicion might be true. Regardless, moving on to more important maters. Is that pond you so carelessly bathed in(seriously please do not go into any bodies of water without proper consultation) freshwater? We are running a bit low on water, so a refill could come in handy. The red flower in the middle is obviously some sort of center pieee. I would like for you to conduct a more thorough inspection. Please report if there is anything of note. Would you say the sun is moving or stationary? Might be hard to tell but please keep it in mind. We might have to deal with a day and night cycle here. Since this is a forest, there should technically be no reason to stay on the path, but given how these types of dungeons tend to operate...regardless pleasy try stepping outside of the path and into the trees for a bit, just to see if that possibility exists Finally, these unlit torches could come in handy, please grab two of them Common sense would indicate that we start with the well lit path first, I see no reason not to, so my vote goes to that one.
Thank you Cherchiel. Left is always right, so left path it is. I agree we should see if the sun is moving, though don't stare at the sun. Those unlit torches may be needed if there is a night or they may magicly light up when it does. Regardless try and take one just in case. I'm against leaving the paths as this could be a Lost Forest and losing your way could mean death. We did not get a symbol or hint on the door so we don't know the theme for this floor. Everyone needs to pay attention and figure this out or we're traveling blind... Or in the case of the last floor, misinterpreting it. The red flower is sus, but we should leave it mostly alone. Get closer, carefully, and examine it. Careful of any gases or it sprouting tentacles and don't touch it yet until we get more information.
Floor number four, finally! There was something about the previous floor that really did not sit well with me, so I haven't been paying much attention to what has been going on. Hopefully this floor will be better... ----------------------------- Hello, Yulia, it's been a while. Congratulations on making it to the next floor! And I see you got a companion. Congratulations times two! I don't know what happened since the last time I checked on you and your adventures, and I am in no hurry to find out, but I see you got a nice companion, so clearly it wasn't all bad. Still, I hope this floor will be better than the previous one. It sure started better... As others said, you should start by examining that flower in the center – but be very careful and ready to pull away at the first sign of danger. It could be just a flower, it could be a trap, or it could be the home of some sort of plant girl... If fact, you should examine the ground around it first – the flower could be just a distraction, with the real trap hidden in the dirt floor. Once you are done with the flower, if nothing happens, take the left path and see where it leads. Examine the unlit torches and try to take a couple if possible. Since you still don't have any fire spells trying to light the torches is not an option. Good luck, both of you! You can do this!
Empty campsite for two, how nice! I'd love to investigate that, then the left path, which is the wide and well lit one right? It sounds nice~ Simple answer today, just don't feel like chatter. Hope you have a good time Yulia~!
New Post: I'm excited for this floor. It should hopefully be more exciting and quicker than last, though it does pose a more interesting choice as well
So far so good. Let's start by watering the poor flower and see if anything happens, then we can decide what to do next.
I concur, might as well start with the flower and see what comes of it. Interesting to note that Yulia can squeeze through the trees but Cherchiel can't. That might come in handy if we ever need to beat a hasty retreat from a monster. Been a while, but here is the fourth floor map
Hmmm, still think the flower is a tad sus. I would suggest splashing water at it from afar if possible just in case. If it does come alive and attacks, just back off. I've got a bad feeling if we destroy the flower. If nothing happens with the flower then let's check out the cave. My experience with exploring caves: - Check for traps and don't kick any loose stones. - Be careful of creatures that mimic human voices in destress, they're dangerous. - If there are large stalagmites or stalactites be very careful as that could be a Roper (Tentacle creature with long reach). - Light is important, can we make a makeshift torch?
I see, intriguing It doesn't look like these rations are decreasing anytime soon, so might as well offer Muma some food. Well, we already knew that the light path leads to a cavern and I imagine we would have gone towards the dark path next anyway, so I suppose we could do that. Muma, why exactly are you saying there is nothing good towards the light path? Fairies are known for their trickery, so we should be on our guard here. Still, what Muma is saying feels too...intricate for a trap. I'd say we take her as our guide for now, but remain vigilant.
New Post: A New Friend? I want to make a "Hey Listen!" Navi joke, but... I'm hoping that this character will not actually end up being annoying... Also, Gambio have I stated how much I fucking love these maps, they're absolutely beautiful XD Fucking Derp Moon XD Edit: Apparently this didn't post earlier... I swear I hit the post button >.>
My original impression was Puck from Berserk And thanks, I am already regretting going for that style, but I'm comitted now.
Very few / nobody defeats the dungeon (if I remember correctly)... Fairy shows up saying she will be a guide but "forgot a out the voices", but still remembered the Champion... Will replace Dreg... I don't trust this fairy one bit. I'd even go so far as to say this may be Dreg in disguise, or true form. My trust is gone from Dreg. Muma, if you really are a guide, what's so bad about the cave hmm? I say we still head for the cave to check out first and see if the fairy even has what it takes to be a guide. I'm sorry if this seems rude, but the tower should have been defeated by more Champions if a guide was truly helping them...
