I'd been writing for a while and getting heavily into my story. After an hour spent writing then another editing. I decided it was a good point to save my work as a draft, I promptly clicked the button and was taken to a screen saying I wasn't logged in. After logging in, I then tried to locate my story. I realized it'd been deleted and lost as soon as I was ripped from the page. A big hassle. :/ I hope there's a fix for this, but I guess I'll just have to re-write it.
Oh, that sucks. The worst I ever experienced was it eating my formatting. I highly reccomend using word or some other program to write before copying it over to the editor. That thing is definitely wonky.
I've re-written what I've lost, I'll get used to writing it in Docs or Word in the future. Thanks for the advice.
Sometimes it might be possible to use the back function of the browser to get to the filled form but in most cases, the content is lost. When I start a new story/chapter, I usually save as draft as soon as it is possible. When writing the actual chapter, saving regularly might be useful as well.
Unfortunately, I don't believe the site could support an auto-saving feature. If I ever encounter an issue with saving a draft, I immediately copy all the content I've written into the clipboard.
I've done the same on a few chapters. I always try to write it again immediately. Otherwise, I'll never bother to write it again. Writing something for the second time always reads worse than the first time for me.
I couldn't agree more Sir Oppen ¬.¬ I've taken into account everyone's tricks, I'll settle for writing and formatting on the actual chyoa site, and pasting work at every important point into a Google Doc backup.
