Kelly let out a playful "Yelp!" and giggle as the form behind her pulled her back away from the market square and the stockade. She let the person take her without a fuss as she wasn't concerned; she anticipated it was her husband behind her. Max was the only man she knew was in the bazaar, aside from the newcomer Natasha had been talking to. "I wonder where he came from." Kelly thought to herself before she turned her head, expecting to see Max.
No one responds with a counter proposal, so it's agreed. The Tiger volunteers to stay behind, while the others go back to the desert camp.
"I'm telling you what to do." He forces her into the room and shuts the door. "Now follow my orders, or I'll punish you."
Crap, now I'm stuck with Stabby-stabby-san. Mori smiles, as they head to their destination. "Right, from what I hear they don't open fire... immediately. So, if we just pretend to be lost tourists, they'll hopefully, stop us just before they reach their camp." He stated as they drove to the guarded ruins.
Spoiler: Combat Roll D100: Vicky: 4 Dylan: 3 What follows is a frankly embarrassing display of combat, the two of them ineffectually jostling against one another as they try and fail to control the knife. After a good minute or so of looking like idiots, the two of them hear a door opening, and see a civilian enter the hall. 'Vicky' angles herself so that the knife is hidden, and kisses Dylan's lips, pretending that the fight is actually a PDA, until the old woman in the hallway decides to leave. "This... This is embarrassing." She grunts, as she breaks the kiss. "Truce?"
Aksham smiles confidently at the spear poking against his chest. "Oh, but it's true!" He laughs. "It's always worth exploring this city. You never know what kind of interesting mortals you'll find. As for who I work for - I'm self employed. I never saw the point in taking sides: Isis, Horus, Anai, they're all the same... I'm on my own side." He looks at her neck. "What a lovely collar...'
"W-Why do you keep talking about sex? It's not like you. Did she...do something to you?" Melinda's eyes are wide with concern and worry. "Wait... She's in my... You didn't have sex with her..." She blushes hard. "...while she was in my body?" "O-Of course I want to get out of here, Miriam! I always wanted to go to Ancient Egypt, but I meant more than one room!" She sighs.
Spoiler: Awareness Roll 75+10 (85) Loisa sends Luke a message, telling him to wait for her at a small town along the coastline, a little way out of Alexandria.. Heading through the winding streets in search of a bus or taxi, though, he spots a tail, a threatening looking Japanese man in a flashy suit. Luke manages to spot the man following him around, without it being too obvious that he's seen him. Given how visible the tail is, Luke guesses that there's someone else watching him, with the Japanese guy being a distraction, but he can't spot anyone else, try as he might.
Turning around, she sees another man entirely, not spotting her husband in the alley she's been pulled into. "Wow." He grins. "I haven't gotten such a warm welcome from a priestess of Isis in a long time... In fact, I didn't know there were any of you left..."
'Yakuza?' Luke asked himself and tried to keep an eye out for another observer, as he continued to navigate the streets. He tried to avoid being herded into a trap by the conspicuous Japanese thug.
Driving out into the desert, they soon return to their vantage point, overlooking the camp and ruins. After an hour or so, they spot the van approaching, dust kicked up under the spinning wheels.
Try as he might, he can't spot another tail. Though obviously not a stranger to violence, the yakuza isn't making any direct mive for now, taiking from a fair distance.
"Oh? A delivery already?" Mori was surprised, but now that it was happening. He knew they'll need to move quickly, "Alright, we'll wait for Tiger-san here. While those punks, hopefully all of them, them the water." He hummed, using a pair of binoculars to take a look at what'll happen.
Spoiler: Luck Roll D100: 87 Luckily, the mercenaries seem thirsty, as the water is passed around quickly among the men resting and guarding alike. After a few hours, most of them slump off to sleep, leaving only a few left standing confused. Tiger and Butcher look to Mori, silently asking if he wants them to attack.
"Yeah, let's go. We can still pretend we're just lost tourists. And once they approach, knock them out as well." Mori nods, waiting for everyone to ride their vehicle before driving off.
Natasha gasped and steped back, by instinct believe this guy what he said. " Damit... You are one of ancient gods. Which one? " She asked and shrug as he mentioned a collar. " If you know what happen here, you must know why I am in such state. You didn't show yourself without reason so you must have some business here. Are you going to give me proposal? "
Luke soon finds a taxi to drive him out to the area of coastline that Louisa mentioned, and isn't surprised when the yakuza gets in a similar taxi, which begins to follow him. Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100:74 Luke is surprised, and somewhat confused, as he spots another group of Japanese men getting in a van, and begin to join the pursuit. Originally he assumes they're working withe the flamboyantly dressed yakuza, but it soon begins clear that they're trying to stay hidden from him, as well as from Luke. The two taxis and van head outside of the city, along the coast, before stopping right outside the beach Louisa indicated. His mentor is nowhere to be found - in fact, no one is - the beach is deserted. The yakuza leaves his taxi, and begins to approach Luke, while the four other Japanese men leave their vans, closing in on the yakuza. As Luke ponders just what the hell is going on here, the situation is further complicated by a woman emerging from the water and making her way, a stunning beauty with South American features. The woman looks at the incoming Japanese men, then at Luke, and flashes the inquisitor a smirk, clearly having some inkling of what's happening. Then, Luke's attention diverts back to the yakuza, who's walking up fast. From his posture, Luke guesses that the man has a blade, and is planning to bump into Luke, stabbing his victim during the distraction, before walking away. The yakuza angles his shoulder, and Luke realises that he has only a few moments before everything goes to hell.
Spoiler: Deception Roll D100: 30+10 Sadly, the remaining men in camp don't seem to think that a group of dumb tourists stumbling on them immediately after most of their comrades were wiped out by poison to be a coincidence. "Halt! Who are you?" A gruff, bearded British merc shouts, raising an automatic rifle.
"A god?" He grins. "You flatter me. No, I'm not a god." He walks away from the spear as if he doesn't know it's there. "I'm... Well, you humans never really understood the concept of what I actually am, but you can think of me as something akin to a djinn." Aksham smiles. "And my reason is this: Curiosity. I wonder what you - a soldier who stands before me naked and ravaged, plans to do to destroy a city like this."
