Mulan tried to give her fake smile like she doesn't know who she is. "Oh, hello. Did you seen that earthquake, it was so powerful, I never sence anything like that in my life." She said trying to act like someone who didn't see her fight.
As she was preparing the explosives, she noticed a shape looking at her through one of windows. Spoiler: intelligence 62 + 20 (cultivator) + 20 (talismans) It was an undead who would suck the Qi of the living to to return to the world of the living... This one was resurected by Talisman... the energy barrier Tori errected would not hold it's physical body.
The woman gave a soft sight, as she slowly started waking up... "That... was a night~" She said with satisfaction, still lying on the bed.
As she returned , she found the woman starting fire in fireplace. She already prepared some food and spread it on the table. "Found anything interesting?" She asked. For a moment, Lou Fei considered taking the bigger share of the loot.
As she saw it's physical form, it was easy enough for the priestess to realize what it was. A Jiang Shi. It was definitely something above lesser spirits. Which left her weighing her options. She had dismissed the idea of bothering with this place at first, but that thing would become a serious threat if it was allowed to revive. There was a number of ways to approach them. But Torri lacked any rice or mirrors. From the look of it, it already had a talisman nailed to it's forehead which should immobilize it....but from the looks of it, it the fact the thing clearly made movement, probably meant that was botched. Torri breathed as she looked out. It was still daytime. These things were nocturnal and only left at night. The wards wouldn't be able to do much to stop it...but it could just as easily be burned to death. Fire was a pretty widely recorded weakness if texts were to be believed....it was better testing that than having to get physically close enough to place a new seal. She didn't have much time to act. Given it was still day....burning it's hiding spot would likely prove fatal, though still with a lot of property damage...she was sure she could justify it given the circumstances. Not having time to weigh what to do, Torri reached to simply light the ignition room and let it detonate to wipe the house before the creature would have time to react.
"Nothing, aside from spirit stones, and this sword." Luo Fei replied, shaking away the thought of taking a bigger cut. "Here you are." She said, handing out half of the stones she retrieved, before sitting by the fire place. "Aaah... I didn't think I'd fight three assassins when I decided to travel with you." She giggled, stretching her aching muscles.
Spoiler: Oratory 36 - 10 (circumstances) - fail As she tried to talk her way out, even to her own ears, Mulan's arguments sounded weak. "Oh, I do believe the last part~" She chuckled in a warm voice... with a smile of predator. "Now, what did you found, that you wanted to hide soo much, eh~?" She asked as she slowly walked closer to Mulan.

Torii could see the undead being reduced by the violent fire... and the dark presence seemed to be gone. Spoiler: intelligence 39 + 20 (cultivator) + 20 (talismans) As she recollected the undead... she realised that in this case, and the widow's case, the talismans were used. Was there a connection? She wondered as she stud in front of large fire...
Mulan decided to change tactics if the first one didn't work. "Okey, okey I saw how someone destroyed half of the mountain, so I want to see it closer. I know, I know it was foolish of me but I just have to learn more about that. I also don't know who used such kind power, so I thought it would be better if I don't show up. You see, about such powerful cultists I heard only in the stories, so I have to find out if they are true. " She speaks fast, making small steps back.
Zhu Hua accepted the stones. "Well, you seem to have handled youself~" She said with a smile as she put the food on the fire and started preparing the meal.
Hayami leans in to give her a light peck on the lips, pulling the sheets over her breasts. "Careful. Show me those and we'll be spending all morning in bed, too." He chuckles. "As agreed, I'm paying for last night. Next time, though, I'm not paying a single coin - we both enjoyed ourselves too much for that." The young cultivator flashes a confident smirk.
These were unusual uses of it. It was also difficult to say what the skill of the person was. Most of the work she had seen, cam across as mostly failed examples. She couldn’t imagine if they were the same person behind both incidents as them being an exceptionally skilled user of the art. Too ambitious beyond what their actual skill would allow. She wondered that as she slowly backed away from the flames. It would make investigating difficult, but she might be able to get clues from the ruins, not to mention she wanted to watch to confirm that the creature was clearly destroyed or exorcise it if she still found it not dead.
"Thank you, as I said. I have quite a bit of experience in a fight." Luo Fei chuckled, "But next to you... I guess I'm nothing more than a child." She lets out a tired sigh, as she rubs her sching temple.
Spoiler: Awareness 80 - 30 (level difference) - success Just as she was moving back, she saw something. She quickly made a step to the side - barely missing woman's hand trying to grab her. "Oh?" She wondered surprised, but completely unfazed, assured of her supremacy. "Well, ain't you-" Her happy chirp stopped on her lips, as she looked to the side. For a moment, Mulan did not know what the woman was expecting... but then, another powerful person appeared.
(Picture didn't show up) "Hey, personal space and this things, right?" She said anoyed, but know very well if come to fight, that woman have much highter power above her own. She steped back, wondering if new coming person, will be friend of this cultivator or enemy. She put hand on her sword, ready to use it to fight back, ewen if she probably lose.
As he parted with spirit stones, the woman purred. She got up and arched her body - in the way that made him gulp. "If you even think of doing that, you might end up alone in bed~" She said with a chuckle as she started putting on her garements. "You seem to be... a rich person with... tastes... I might gave you an entry to a black market auction, if you are interested~" She suggested as she got up and put on her dress...
It took a better part of the night, for the fire's to subdue... but finally, it calmed enough for Tori to check ruins. in them ruins, she found the charted remains of the undead.
"Everybody had to start somewhere..." She shrugged. "By tomorrow, we should have arrived at the place..." She said as she handed Luo Fei a stick with meat.
"Fair point." Luo Fei replied, taking the skewer. "So... are you also a cultivator?" She asked idly, as she bites into her meal.
(and now? - link) The man stood in front of them, looking at them. "Ah-a~" Woman sighted. "Do please wait here. I have a peast to deal with." She said in playful voice as she turned to face the man...
