I started writing again because of this story. When the third site was released, all I was interested in was editing my old stories. Then this cast of characters came along, and I was hooked.
So I'm getting ready to do the photo scavenger hunt and these are ideas I have so far: A piece of clothing not belonging to you (bonus points for underwear) Photo with a ranger photo of wild animal photo of someone dry humping something in the park (points awarded based on the riskiest pic) appreciate any other ideas
There can be a photo with an exotic bird, like an owl or an eagle. I think it was Zingiber who mentioned geocaching in one of his threads, there can be a picture of one too. Or maybe even a photo of an "out-of-place" scenario, such as the old war base that Cretan_Bull14 used in his threads, although I have no idea for more settings like that. Aside from that, the only thing I can think of right now, that could maybe serve to get things rolling, would be a photo of a sexual act, not every team would find it and a few of them could have the idea of improvising one for the picture. Although that could also be a consequence of the underwear photo as well.
If anyone's wondering where I'm going with the new "Zack goes into the forest" threads, here's my ideas. In the path he went alone, it will have a short scene between he and Chloe in the cave and end with a scene with the two of them plus Lisa, and another scene back at the cabin between Heather, Kurt and Brandon. In the other path, the one in which he asked Heather to go with him, it will end in a scene between the two of them and Chloe in the cave.

So, as everyone saw it, I went ahead and started the new version of the story where the trip is shorter. I'm writing two branches of it, the "Victoria" one and the "Threeway" one; in the former, Zack ends up with Vicky, as opposed to the latter, where he ends up with both Heather and Ashley as fuck-buddies. The story in the two paths is almost the same, the differences being triggered by Zack focusing or not on Victoria. I come here today to ask the readers' opinion regarding one of those differences. In the "Threeway" path, Kurt sees that Zack isn't having success with Victoria, and then the lack of a challenge causes him to focus on Chloe, as he's feeling attracted to her more and more. The question is about Kurt in the "Victoria path", my plan was to have him focus on Chloe there as well, but I was thinking, seeing Zack succeeding with Victoria might play to his competitive side and deviate him from focusing on Chloe. The question: would you guys like to read a story like that? With Zack and Kurt fighting for Vicky's attentions until the end? Or would you prefer that Kurt gets paired with Chloe in the "Victoria path" as well and leave Zack and Victoria with a clear road without any obstacles until the end? If I go the 'triangle' way, I might even throw Heather into the mix as well, having she and Kurt strucking some sort of alliance to keep Zack and Vicky from getting together (failing in the end, obviously).
copout, I totally would enjoy a thread where zack and kurt fight for vicky's affections to the end. i also would enjoy a thread where kurt goes after Chloe
I would prefer a version in which on the Victoria Path, Kurt would not go after Victoria and instead focuses on Chloe. That way Heather doesn't go after Zack and she ends up with Gavin (hopefully) and in the end there would be four couples.
Yeah, there's that option too, one where everyone ends up happy, lol. The Victoria path will most likely end up as a story at the end of the trip, with all plots finished. As for the Threeway path, I have vague ideas for a sequel.
I put up a thread where Victoria tries on a dress that she likes. I googled "Green sundress" and picked one that I liked and tried to describe as best as I could.
Thinking about giving a younger sister to Zack and Taylor, the same age as Chloe's little sister, Holly (16). She would only be able to appear on potential sequels, though, or on 'Tales of Silver Lake' off-shoots. Also really considering making a mention to an older sister for Heather as well, as I had planned some time ago. That'd make Gavin, Victoria and Kurt the only 'only childs' of the main cast (at least on my threads, I very much enjoyed the spin Cretan_Bull14 gave on Vicky's home life on his latest threads).
Hello, sorry for the stupid question, i really like this story, in particular its characters, and i've read some of its threads some time ago, but i've really gotten lost in them. Lately, I noticed some new storylines starting (such as "[ALT.] Yet another alternate beginning" and "Alternate beginning with a shorter trip", which i was really interested in for the threeway path, i've always preferred a Heather-Zack couple instead of a too predictable Zack-Vicky) and I wanted to start reading them from the beginning, but i don't know which one are currently developed or will be in the future, and so which one to start following, and what are the differences between all the many threads. Is there a sort of "map" for knowing what happens in the many ramifications of the story and which one are currently developed? Thanks to all the authors for their amazing work!
Hi, accofake! Yes, the Story Map ended up quite big, I guess the best way to see if it's still being developed is to check up the dates when the chapter got posted. The 'shorter trip' threads I'm leaving aside for now, in the case someone wants to write a shorter story, and I'm focusing my efforts in the "Yet another alternate beginning" storyline. Other than mine, Cretan_Bull14 has a few active paths going on, some with Zack/Heather and one with Zack/Victoria. boomer97 also is writing a path, but his features a wider mix of pairings along the story. I think those are the only active paths at the moment.
have to say I'm really enjoying what Boomer97 is doing, such a twisted path with so many options, I love it. I think I mentioned a while back that I wasn't big into the Brandon-Vicky-Ashley scene, but that was a personal preference, no judgement on the writing. In fact all the writing leading up to that scene was fantastic, and the fall out and new possibilities opening up have been fantastic. I loved the the whole "zack fucks everything up" storyline, and now eager to see how his redemption goes. does he finally nail Madison? what about the renewed interest from Vicky, and Ashley getting her turn. plus so many intertwining tales with the other characters. Posting this because i remembered posting that I wasn't a fan of how that particular scene played out, but wanted to be clear, that was a personal preference, and that the writing all around it has been great and I hope you continue on, because i've enjoyed it regardless.
Boomer97's story is great in the sense that you never know who's gonna hook up next, it's been a wild ride so far, lol! Those high stakes games can only improve the situation even more.
