So I'm sure I'm not the only one whose process for coming up with stories is basically, "get hit with concept that turns me on, build story around it." And I'm sure I'm also not the only one who has the problem of, "I have this concept that I really want to build a story around, but I just can't get it to come together." Maybe some of y'all can help (and let me know if this is a decent idea and would make a good story, of course). The idea involves a near future where the latest trend in body ideals for women is the Venus figure (stacked BBWs, basically), specifically in association with MILFs and the understanding that this is the shape attractive women's bodies take on after having kids. As a result, it's become popular for young women to get pregnant and have kids just to attain this body type. I think the most common and preferred way is by being a surrogate, since it benefits everyone involved and generally pays well, but I imagine some women can't find a couple who need a surrogate or don't care to, and just get pregnant the old-fashioned way and then put the kid up for adoption. I like my smut lighthearted, so I think I'd probably acknowledge the latter as fucked up but not focus on the ramifications too much, making it assumed that everything just works out okay. Anyway, the story probably wouldn't really be about the whole process of having the kids, and more just about the women involved appreciating and enjoying their new bodies. Like I said, I feel like this idea has story potential, but at the moment, I can't seem to make it go beyond this point. Like, what should actually happen that would make for interesting reading? Should it follow a woman doing this and what happens in her life afterward? What would be the focus of the choices? Or maybe there isn't a story here after all, or at least not a CHYOA, I dunno. What do you think? Does the concept immediately bring questions to mind that you think are worth exploring, and/or ideas for steamy erotic scenes?
MILFs are totally a kink. The thing about any story is that it has to be more than just a kink. It's like an action movie needs to be more than just explosions and bullets flying; you need a premise, characters, and motivations. You don't need to work out the whole plot, but the last part two parts are essential because if you have a strong concept of who a character is and what they would do in a given situation, you can follow their adventures as things happen. A young MILF who wants to enjoy her body gives you a barebones characterization - how old is she? Married? Obviously she's given birth, but is she raising the kid(s) or was it just a surrogacy contract? Stay-at-home slutmom or does she have to work for the dick? Maybe surrogacy was her job, but now the baby is weaned and she's free, unattached, and with the MILF body she always wanted... ...which then begs the question: how does she enjoy it? Does she goes to the beach to show off her curves in a skimpy bikini? Maybe she's got a little post partum and wants to seduce someone into knocking her up again? Or maybe she missed out on college life carrying the baby, and now she wants to go to a frat party and show up all those skinny bitches by flirting and fucking every young dick there? Maybe she's got a formerly platonic friend, who has a kink for MILFs too, and now finds her irresistable. So there's fair potential in the story, you just need to work out what exactly you want to write about. Who is she, and what kind of situations can she get into to enjoy her MILF body?
For putting up the kid for adoption, I see an easy solution that makes it not fucked up. This is in the future, why not have the society abolish the nuclear family structure? Kids are raised by a socialized system with their peers. To get an idea of what this could look like, read The Dispossessed.
Fully agreed on all points, and these are some great plot and scene ideas! Thanks for sharing. These would probably make for cool setting concepts, but they're just a bit more of a departure from the familiar than I'm looking to do here. Honestly, I'm not really concerned about the setting making sense or being internally coherent; I was basically planning to have it just be "real life, but with this one kink." What I'm more interested in is just characters and story ideas on a more personal scale, stuff like what Zeebop was suggesting, if that makes sense. Appreciate the thought, though, and these kinds of ideas could definitely make for an interesting world if I wanted to put more effort into going full sci-fi!
You could use the world as it is ("Everyone prefers young, skinny girls and everyone knows that.") and just make it that the general view changes due to an event. Think of a popular TV show that initially leads to public bashing of the MILFy main characters. But this time, there are more voices to speak up against it as usual. Many people suddenly realize they aren't alone and so there are increasingly more voices that finally tip the scale and overthrow the old ideal. So the main character could be used to the fact that her body hasn't been (publicly) appreciated for years. (Or even her whole life?) But overnight that changes and suddenly she embodies the new ideal. (Though there can still be people who prefer the old ideal.) So that would be a quite quick change and would allow her to experience a lot of things associated with it for the first time.
If we're dealing in a future scenario, why not just make this body type something a woman can obtain through hormone treatments or other pseudoscience and leave the kids out of it entirely? It's 2030-whatever, and they've announced a new treatment that's 100% effective against pregnancy and disease but gives the user a MILF body. So now this post-pregnancy female shape is desirable, and signals that she's DTF.
