Most Obscure Reference you've ever used...

Made plenty of obscure music references (Dance Gavin Dance, I the Mighty, The Blood Brothers, Eternity Forever among others). Reference the line 'What I have in mind for you is on a completely different level of fuckery' from the show Happy! in Taming the Dom (and that line aptly describes the...

Interest Check: D&D Style Play-By-Post Fantasy Impregnation Story

I've still got documentation on how the game works (in fact I created most of it), just not the actual world/lore stuff.

Interest Check: D&D Style Play-By-Post Fantasy Impregnation Story

Hate to say this, but this project is in hiatus for now and it is unlikely we'll be adding anyone else any time soon. If there are any openings, you'll be the first to be messaged.

Tools talk: What tools do you use to write?

Grammarly will work on most browsers so all you have to do is paste it. It'll only correct spelling/grammar, and I don't agree with it 100% of the time, but it's a handy thing to have. And thanks for the compliment :) The free version of PWA does restrict you to 500 words. There might be...

Tools talk: What tools do you use to write?

IMO it's inexcusable to not use the free version of Grammarly. It catches plenty of small, easy to make errors. Otherwise, I just stick to writing in my browser. Using Brave, I have it set to 'continue where you left off', which will bring up any chapters I was editing in case I accidentally...

Questions regarding retaining control over a story.

Strange... Anyway, alternatively, you can go to the introduction of your story and type '/edit' at the end of the address

Questions regarding retaining control over a story.

Go to 'My Stories' > Find the story you want to edit and click the three dots on the right side > 'Edit Story'. From there you can change your story's mode. No, although I suppose you could save those chapters into a word document.

    New Years Resolutions

Keep breathing. I mean some might say it's a low bar, but at the same time considering the way most NWRs go, it's pretty ballsy if you ask me.

Is it better(for a new sex writer) to write sex or get some help?

Go to edit chapter. Underneath 'Follow Up Question' will be the words 'Add a Tag'. In that section, you can add tags appropriate to your chapter.

Is it better(for a new sex writer) to write sex or get some help?

Well you're never gonna learn how to write sex scenes unless you write them yourself. This is a good primer for advice on writing sex: https://forum.chyoa.com/threads/tips-for-writing-sex-scenes.1958/#post-25770 Other than that, I'd say it's best to start by contributing to someone else's...

Strange Kinks You Never Thought You'd Write About Until You Came To CHYOA

Probably a tame list compared to others, but still: -Pregnancy + Satanic ritual leading to the birth of a succubi -Pegging to stretch a man's 'prison pocket' so he can hide a knife -Having a character bludgeon someone to death with a dildo -Being fingered on the beach whilst around others -Cam...

    Writers fatigue

Fatigue is a natural part of the writing process. I've put out in excess of 900 chapters this year and honestly, I've had days when I can smash out 4 or 5 chapters like it's nothing and others where I can't put one out. Tips for long term commitment: -Have multiple stories/branches to work...

Author Bios can include Patreon or Amazon Author?

Several users (including myself) have a link to their Patreon profile in their author bio so feel free to do so.

    TV recommedation

For those who have Netflix, I'd highly recommend the show Nobel. A bit similar to The Bourne series but more grounded. It's about a Norwegian special forces soldier who finds himself dealing with conspiracy in Oslo which relates to his service in Afghanistan. Not the most original premise, but...

    Roxy's New Roommate

First of all, I appreciate the feedback Especially this part ;) Whilst I don't want to dismiss this as being invalid, I do plan to have Sila open up more very soon in the story. Right now Charlie hasn't had much to do, except for gossip a bit during the Xavier branch. I don't have any...
