    How do you know if people actually like your work

    I somewhat agree with that perspective. I get a bigger ego boost if I submit my own story, though if a moderated story is popular to begin with, then I can achieve a minimum of 20 likes. Something that hasn't happened in quite some time... if ever, until now, to be honest.
