Formatting Question / Thinly Veiled Plug

Doing "breadth first", as you say, would surely advertise each one of your short stories individually. It would be like a table of contents. Not that bad, since your stories are mostly unrelated and certainly not consequential. Doing "depth first" would probably force your readers through some...

    The last trap

Just expanding on a quick idea I came up for this thread: One month has passed since that fateful night. Donaar scratches his chin pensively as he reads again the page of the old manuscript before him. He has come to the conclusion that the owner of the dungeon, Barhad the Great, isn't...

    3 word story idea chain

A rather accomplished dwarf treasure hunter explores the long-lost secret lair of a great alchemist, said to have discovered the elixir of eternal life. After spending three days delving into the ancient tunnels and avoiding the treacherous traps laid by the mysteriously disappeared previous...

Do you think a story with two different POVs is bad?

I wrote could. I just offered a possible solution to this:

Do you think a story with two different POVs is bad?

First-person is usually a told story, a chronicle. If you want immersion for your reader, the typical person used is the second, which is really popular on Chyoa in fact. Yet, if you still persist in doing first-person, for whatever reason, you should consider that the person telling the story...

Do you think a story with two different POVs is bad?

Hmm, I think that's still third person, technically. You see, he, his, are third persons pronouns and adjectives. But yeah, he could totally do something like that. I'm not convinced it would be as good if you really transitioned into first-person without the right narrative device.

Do you think a story with two different POVs is bad?

To answer the title thread question, yes, it is. If there would be some kind of Big Book of No-s, that would be in it. Then again, this is Chyoa and that book doesn't exist, so do what you feel like. PoV changes can happen, of course, even in published literature but they have to be handled...

I forgot how characterizations work, so can you tell me how I did?

I gave one quick read and I don't really feel like I'm in the position to give advice as a writer, so I'll speak as a reader, just because sometimes it's better to have a few stupid replies than no replies. So here's my stupid one. I think the lack of a physical description of the characters...

Uh, maybe those silly stories are just supposed to sublimate situations more real but also more prone to censorship. Was I vague enough?

How do you reconcile your fetishs in your writing

I too skimmed the responses, too long and specific, sorry. If I get it right, the problem is that he is driven towards his kink(impregnation), but also wants to write a proper Story, and these two things conflict because his kink has a lot of implications that are difficult to fit in a...

It doesn't teach you about military strategy in the strict sense of the term, but more in a general way. I would say that chess teaches you to think ahead of your moves and possible countermoves of your enemy, and also it teaches you to be ready to sacrifice your troops for a win. I'm not a...

I'd go with a split-personality disorder. Way easier to handle than some kind of magical beast attached to his groin.

Sexiest female thief? (Suggestions & Poll)

Feels like an odd selection because I can't say I know many of them. On the other hand, I can't say I'm an expert in the field either, so maybe I'm biased. I'd add Eva Kant, though. Not sure how much known outside of Italy she is, but both her drawn depiction and her latest real-life...

Songs that put you in the mood?

This very much. I can't seem to do anything else than drive when I listen to music. That's the only combination that works. On a side note, out of curiosity what's the game?

    Sometimes I wished I could've drawn instead

Plus I don't think you have any idea of how much more work would be to publish a short webcomic instead of a story on Chyoa.
