I figured it was time to check in since I’ve neglected this for a bit. I’m working at the moment to finish a short branch in Waitress right now but I intend to pick Simone back up soon. It’s just a matter of deciding exactly which way I want to pull her next.
it isn’t that I have no ideas, I...
I wouldn't mind more. I mean I just earned my 500 like one and am a half dozen chapters from the 100 chapters award. I know they don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things but it was a pleasant surprise when it showed in my notifications :)
I've only published three myself here so far but around 2 days sounds right to me. Given the mods have to manually check and approve them makes me think it can go slowly at times if they are really busy. Hopefully you get it soon!
If I'm just looking to read sure. Private stories have the advantage that with one author, the plot can develop better. Now back when I was looking for somewhere to write (and was too chicken to start my own), I mostly cruised the public stories.
To be honest, if a story sounds interesting...
I think that's a fair option. I'd even be cool with providing a specific 'opt in' by author for status updates. I'd just like a way to publically communicate with readers that doesn't require me to hope they wander over here :)
I know this is an old thread but I came here suggest something like this. I'd love this or a microblog on the bottom of my 'about' page on the site. It'd be a simple way to let folks who like lots of things the author writes what's up since not everyone comes to the forums!
That is very true from the reader's point of view. It doesn't do a lot to motivate your average author imo. I know I'm more likely to move to a new project if I feel an older story is played out and folks aren't interested in it. I may move back to it later but it kinda feels like you're being...
I've noticed of late I'm getting a handful of favorites for a story when I post but few likes. It's really interesting how people consume material here. I'm not complaining though if it's favorited folks must want to read.
I've had at least four scenes in various stories planned that involved multiple sex partners (threesomes etc). They were all abandoned when I just couldn't keep track of locations, actions, and turned into nightmares to write. I've mostly settled for being light on description when I do try and...
That's a new one for me! Normally Gene.sis or Friedman are the ones I see fixing stuff.
If you don't get an answer here, you can try CHYOA General. I think that's where I'm used to seeing help requests at. Best of luck!
Thanks! After Gene.sis told me there was already an editor on the story I wasn't sure it'd be proper to butt in. If it's OK with you though, I'll take it :)
