Thanks for explaining! Chapter likes are no longer aggregated, each notification now shows who liked which chapter, so tracking points should work again.

Thanks! This is now fixed. Chapter likes and bookmarks appear separately again and link to the exact chapter.

I’ve now added grouped comment-like notifications, so multiple likes in the same story will be combined instead of creating a long list of separate notifications.

Absolutely, I added you to the story as an author. Happy writing! :)

Thanks, guys. The cause was a long-running sync with SmutMD.

I still have this on my to-do list. I may actually be able to get it done this week. The main reason I haven’t done it yet is that I need to put the site into maintenance mode and make a change to the database, so it’s a bit more involved than most updates. I’ve already prepared most of what’s...

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll see what I can do with the grouping idea. I agree that it could help when someone likes several comments in a short period of time. You should already be able to disable notifications for comment likes in your notification settings here...

Sorry, I left them out of my breakdown. Comments contribute 8%, and fresh chapters make up the remaining 7%.

I found that several different momentum scores were being capped and displayed as 100. I’ve now adjusted the scale so those differences remain visible. The current list ranges from about 79 to 97, with none at 100. I’m also collecting more data before deciding whether to rebalance views, likes...

That's a good point! Views are the largest single part of the score at 45%, but they’re capped rather than counted endlessly. Likes contribute 20%, while favorites and bookmarks contribute another 20% together. Because those signals reach their limits with far fewer actions, an individual like...

Good catch. The reason labels currently use a simple priority list, and “fresh chapters” is checked first, so any story with a recent chapter tends to receive that label. I’ll adjust it so the displayed reason represents the strongest contributor.

Sorry for the very late reply! I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of this up in such detail. There are a lot of great ideas here, and I agree that search and discovery are areas where CHYOA still has plenty of room for improvement. I also really appreciate your offer to help...

Popular Categories and Trending Stories work a little differently. Popular Categories is fairly simple. It totals the views received by visible stories in each category over the last 30 days, then puts the most-read categories first. Trending Stories looks at the last seven days and combines...

Thanks for the suggestion! Back by popular demand, the Favorite Stories button is returning to the top bar :D

We now have a letter element: https://chyoa.com/chapter/Letters.1885631

Thank you! I’ve banned the user and removed the spam they posted.

Good point! That wording didn’t make sense for a missing user page. I’ve updated the 404 page to use more appropriate messages for profiles, stories, and chapters. Thank you!

Thank you for reporting this. I reviewed the account and have banned the user for spam :)

I’ve now added a Show more option for longer story summaries in listings, search results, profiles, Trending, and My Stories. I’ve also added guidance recommending one or two short paragraphs for the synopsis.
