Hi folks, I'm happy to announce a side project I've been working on for the past months. The goal is to increase the reach of CHYOA and attract more writers and readers. The project is called SmutMD (https://www.smutmd.com/), and as you may have guessed by the name, it's an equivalent to...

"There are a lot of stories on CHYOA that don't interest me and that I'd rather not see when looking for new stuff, so I think it could be useful to have a "Hide" feature so that you could just avoid the stuff you don't want to see. This is something that I use frequently on Reddit with the RES...

Hi there, This is the new CHYOA sub-forum for suggestions. Posting all suggestions in one thread has lead to an unclear and non-transparent handling. With a separate forum, we improve the organization and prioritize user suggestions. How it works: 1. Post your suggestion as a standalone...

Hi folks! I am very glad that the new CHYOA version has been well received. And we'll add new features such as the long-awaited conditional branches and an extensive search (Elasticsearch) within the next weeks. But now to a little less popular topic: The monthly costs (I try to be as...

I've been working on the character encoding problem during the past two weeks and most threads should be corrected by now (no more ? and other special character problems). Some threads were fixed automatically, other threads were corrected manually by me. There were probably more than 1000...

Small big news: All empty "<NO TITLE>" threads are now linked with their corresponding counterparts.

Hi folks, here are the first screenshots of the Chyoa 2 project. You can see that we get a little more color, user avatars and cover photos for stories. Stories will consist of 3 pages: The main story page (where you read and write), the story map (where you can from then on manage all...

Chyoa was down for a few hours because two high-voltage power-lines, which are providing power for our data center, were damaged. Thanks for your patience!

The site is back online. The reason for the downtime was the backup script (continuous loop).

Since the start of Chyoa in April the daily visits have more than doubled. References on high-traffic sites, such as Reddit, lead to temporary traffic spikes. In such cases the number of MySQL database connections increases which results in a slowdown of the site – page requests last longer...

During the last days I was busy setting up a new forum and connecting it to the website. I have decided to go this step, as there are continuously problems with the communication between Literotica and the moderators. With the introduction of this new Chyoo forum it is now also possible to send...
