After looping the footage over and over half a dozen times, he turns it off. "I suppose we should start following up on the people who had access to his terminal. Let's start with his assistant."

"So we've found our killer. We just need to find out why our killer was involved..." Arkhis remarks, going back over the security footage to try and work out where the insectoid might have headed off to after leaving the apartment.

"So we've got someone else being brought in to do the actual murder. Most likely a contract killer." Arkhis notes out loud. "And it looks like an unsubtle one, from those boot marks. Is there any footage we could pull up from the surrounding areas?" He asks, as he picks up the data slates.

Arkhis first inspects the noose, before looking around the entire apartment, partly to see if the killer used rope found on the scene, partly to see if there are any other clues left lying around. He'll also check the dead man's terminal.

He gives her a nod and sets out for it, though not before exchanging his ceremonial sword for a real one, just in case he isn't the only person at the scene.

"Let's hope they didn't cover their tracks too well... in the meantime, I think I'd like to look around the scene of the 'suicide'." He stands up and stretches. "Would it be possible for you to arrange that?"

"I'll have to investigate all of them, then, especially for Cold Moon syndicate ties... but it's a start at least." He adds those names to the report.

Arkhis starts to put together a preliminary report, outlining the various ties the corruption has to Cold Moon companies and figures, as well as the way Anslem was "recieving" payments. "Interesting... Quick question: who is there that would have been able to use Anslem's terminal without him...

He doesn't have any requests of her; instead he merely introduces himself and confirms that yes he's a councilor and yes he's looking into this and yes he wants the bank data. By the time the irregularities finally start to become clear, Arkhis is starting to get impatient, so as he notes down...

"I'll start with the bank records. Crime scene investigation isn't a speciality of mine." He salutes the emperor, waiting to be dismissed. Once allowed out of the emperor's presence, he'll head back to his rooms and see how much information his new position will allow him to pull up on the bank...

"I will ensure it's handled successfully, sir. Where should I begin?" The alien replies, giving the emperor a small bow in return.
