To dice roll, the player will have to state their characters name, designate a target, identify the stat used for the roll and its modifiers, and then state what it is that the character is hoping to accomplish. Example: Player 1 posts: "Character X targets NPC Y, rolling with accuracy, 1d20+#+#+#-#=##. Character X makes a called shot with their side arm at NPC Y. If there are any questions as to how to do a roll, please ask them in the OOC thread as this is purely just for dice rolls and their results. It is also here that 3 different phases will be called out. They are as follows: Combat Phase: Obviously, the phase of combat. This is where most of the rolling action will occur, as NPCs and player characters are rolling against each other. The results of the rolls will be played out in the IC thread after everyone finishes their moves. When it is a person's turn, they spend all their Action Points here and then post the cinematic fluff in the IC thread. It is only in this phase that players may dictate how their character moves around the battlefield to keep track of Action Point spending. Free Roam Phase: The phase that'll more typically happen en route to destinations on ships or in places of no mission worth. There may be secret rolls done by the DM to see if anything happens during this phase, but it is generally safe. There may be little or no rolling done, depending on what the characters happen to be doing. Players are mostly free to do as they like until end of Free Roam, but they'll still have to adhere to some rolling mechanics if they choose to do any. Standard Phase: Typically the phase of most of the game, where the player characters are in mission locations or out and about in places of high activity. May the dice be in our favors...probably going to need all the favortism we can muster.
