So I've started writing in the past two weeks, putting up 25 chapters off of Household Dominance App. Today, they deleted the story and now I have access to none of the chapters I wrote. I know that it might be hard to do, but I wish that I could see them still. I've learned that I should make backups now at the very least, but still, it's sort of a huge mood killer to watch 25 chapters turn to dust because the original poster decided to delete. So I'd like it if the original poster could still access their chapters even if the original fork post is deleted. I'm not expecting it to be done retroactively, but if I ever decide to write in the future, I wish that I could have some peace of mind. Edit: I see that it's possible to recover chapters if they are deleted, but they can't be recovered or viewed if the root chapter is still deleted. I wish that even if it was just a random webpage that it could be opened.
If you get the "Sorry, I got distracted..." error when opening the chapter, you could try to append /edit to the link in the address bar. (I'm not completely sure if that works.)
I also think the author should be informed if that happens. The chapters should then go to a separated area where you still access them.
It doesn't seem to. I did it by going to the deleted chapters and clicking on one and adding edit, it just showed the distracted error.
Thanks to gene.sis, I now have all of the chapters. I'll try to figure out how I want to continue it, how I want to continue the story. It might be a few days, but I can say for certain that I can't wait to start writing again.
