What I am asking is for the ability for a user to 'give' One of his thread to another user. for example I have been feeding 2p1k3 ideas for a thread. I would like to make the thread and than give ownership of the thread to him instead of doing it over messages

 

No idea what you mean by that. Could you please explain it further?

This ability is present. For moderated and private stories it requires you add a person as editor, which is a process that I can't describe off the top of my head but isn't complicated and has very few steps and can be described if need be.

Not sure how this works with public stories but its either similar or easier.

So basically "transferring ownership of a chapter".

I'm not against this, though I'd rather like a functionality to be able to directly edit other peoples chapters. That way the other one could create the chapter and you could edit it. (Though this wouldn't help if you decide that afterward...)

 

So, I'm a touch confused, are you saying you'd rather we have a function to set someone else as a universal editor for our work?

 

Umm... no...
If you work with another user in a third user's story, you can't give the other user editor rights. If they would get it from the story owner, they could edit every chapter of the story, which is something, that might not be desired. So maybe something that allows choosing an editor for all your chapters or a way to give editing rights on a chapter basis (not sure if this could be implemented easily).
Additionally, it would be nice to have a way to be able to see unpublished chapters from certain users on the story map. (or maybe allowing all to see unpublished chapters but deny the access.)

 

Still somewhat unclear, but I think I get the gist of it.

Also, that second idea has been suggested before, though I can't find that thread right now...

 

Well, I rather think that suggestion is about being able to view the chapters of all users (work in progress).
