So here's the thing... I joined the site a few days ago because I wanted to add some chapters to a story. Not fully understanding that "moderated" meant "at the story owner's discretion" and instead assuming it meant a moderator will be reviewing, I wrote four chapters and submitted them for review. Here's the thing: only one chapter has been approved in the last 13 months. I think it's safe to assume the story is dead. I did the same thing yesterday with another story that I now assume is dead (it hadn't been touched since mid-2018 and the owner hasn't even logged on within the last two months). Is there a way I can recall my request and maybe find a way to adapt them into my own story? They're disjointed in theme, but I'm d̶o̶u̶b̶t̶f̶u̶l̶ confident I could give them some logical flow.

You can also be added as an author for stories where the owner wasn't absent for too long. That way, your chapters don't need the approval of the story owner/editor. You could delete the chapter.
